That you asked this question tells me you don't understand how the Military Chain of Command works, nor the decision making process. You trust Trumps strategic abilities more than Mattis..??
To be truthful, I would have expected more…
Those are easy.. between the locals and the imports it’s not hard to hit those numbers… and they know those are cities where the mayor and local law enforcement will let them get away with whatever behavior they want to display…
When they manage to get even 20,000 in Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Miami, Orlando, or even Indianapolis, I’ll be impressed..
Until then it’s just the same bunch of people that will be wearing pink pussy hats raising hell about roe v wade again once they get bored with no kings..
Theatrics… not much more..
...pink pussy hats.....who the fk makes them?....sex shop purchase or what?.....BBC and facts?.....LOL
The BBC is almost as biased and misleading as CNN

He’s hardly begging the Europeans for help he’s setting himself up so that he can say fuck Europe they can pay whatever it takes for oil they wouldn’t contribute to securing their own supply. He literally gives zero fucks what the rest of the world thinks about him hell he gives zero fucks what half of America thinks of him. Europe and Canada not helping to secure the straight just plays into his hand of fuck them guys they won’t help themselves so why should I give them any breaks and his political base eats it up.
Begging for help would entail the U.S. military couldn’t do it on there own, if the U.S. military so desired there would be a Burger King in Irans capital in a matter of weeks. His asking for aid is an opportunity for Europe and select other countries to help themselves that they are squandering.
I think you are confusing the Commander in Chief with general staff. Trump sets the mission parameters. The strategies to fulfill the mission is left to the commanders in the field. And Mattis is contradicted by the current staff. I am positive Mattis would have also been negative about the Madura raid. You trust Trumps strategic abilities more than Mattis..??
I do get bored with left and right trying to claim the moral high ground
In international affairs (an increasingly internal affairs) there is no moral high ground
there is winning and losing
You either wish to survive or you don't
Moaning about your front row of the scrum (read Defensive line), or your quarterback (scrum half) is pointless
You have the team you have - you have the opposition you have
Trump aint perfect, but he is a fuck sight better than the alternatives in the US and Europe

I’m not sure if you’re even following Trump’s policies and his statements.
Trump is waging a war he never intended to fight at this way(14 days), and the situation is spiraling dramatically out of his control. He threatens countries like Canada and Europe with annexation, and yet suddenly expects them to be allies who will help him with his unilateral actions and delusions of omnipotence. No way. From the very beginning, he has plunged the world and administrations into crises. He threatens to withdraw from NATO; Hmmmmm..... Because no one here believes that Trump would really help us if things went south. Friends mean nothing to him, treaties mean nothing to him, and allies are only worth something if they kowtow to him. He insults heads of state and their countries. He recently claimed in public about the Saudi Crown Prince that “he would kiss his ass.”
If you think a ground offensive in Iran with the ridiculous 20,000 troops now being discussed can accomplish anything, you know nothing about the Persians. Here, the media is already debating which wars the U.S. has actually won in the last 80 years:
Korea—after three years of bloody casualties—withdrawal;
Vietnam—amidst enormous casualties—withdrawal;
The Iraq War with Saddam: G.W. Bush was duped by Cheney, Wolfowitz, and Rumsfeld; withdrawal left chaos in its wake, and ISIS rose from the ashes there.
Afghanistan: 20 years of deployment, sacrifices, and withdrawal—today, the Taliban are in power there.
Correct me if I'm wrong; I'm always happy to learn.
Well Spike, my comment was not meant to imply you are stupid. I never said such. You are simply taking things out of contextBrent I agree on a lot...but there are some of the older longtime journalists there that give good facts and opinions...as I said they have longtime experience of the countries and the players there....so occasionally try reading some of the things I post ...maybe you will learn something...maybe it will make you think a little bit ....Nice to know you think I am stupid for reading and posting some of the stuff from BBC...but your confusing me with someone that gives a fk...open your mind and reading capabilities....you might learn something....and try reading some of the research and fact finding they do on some of the atrocities that have been committed by certain factions, even ones claiming to be the countries military or the rebel forces...quite interesting and informative....
But now I honestly can't be bothered...so won't bother in the future...

As far as the BBC as it relates to Trump and the Republican party in general , at times they are biased and misleading, as many of the left leaning media outlets can be. I have little trust in what they have to say.
My comment was pointed at Pondoro, who seems to take anything he's sees on those media outlets as gospel and absolute fact, especially when it gives him some type of ammunition to criticize Trump , the USA, and by proxy, my political affiliation and support.
The BBC has shown many times that it is not always an accurate source of truthful information, but often times spoon feeding people what it wants everyone to think and feel. Just like CNN and other leftist media sources do in the states.
....mmm no don't think am taking things out of context....I have made my views pretty clear as to how I stand.....
No matter what Jim Mattis says...I bet the geniuses here will say that winning this war is easy..
Didn’t Trump want to end the Afghanistan war.
Isn’t Mattis the general who resigned rather than start drawing down troops to end the 17 year long Afghanistan war.
You can take comfort in the fact that you often are.Looking at options regarding boots on the ground...I look at the topography of the Iranian Coast along the persian gulf and the 7 islands in Hormuz..I am getting flashbacks to Gallipoli 1915..
I really hope I am wrong..
Jeez......pink pussy hats.....who the fk makes them?....sex shop purchase or what?.....

I was wondering why the “No Kings” protesters shared a similar demographic and appearance.
there seems to be a disproportionate amount of teachers and professors in the mix.
Is this more to do with dismantling the Dept of Education?
