Good Gun Deals This Week

I'm not in the market, but I know somme go ape over the cartridge.

This appears to be an older RSM in 416 Rigby with a synthetic stock, metal has been plated, 30mm scope rings all for only $1200!!!

Somebody jump on this now! Great rifle for DG!

Whew, exactly the DR I want… classic English, but a rifle for the working day.

Some interesting Brno and Whitworth rifles up at auction in .404 Jeffries, .458 Win Mag, .416 Hoffman, and .416 Rem Mag Improved. The high bid on any of them so far is $450.

Appreciate the OP’s visibility, but I was under the impression there was a forum wide gentleman’s agreement to not post links to auctions?

I don’t believe the Bruno 404 will go for a high of $1400 as they show…probably closer to between $2,000 to $2,500
I would wager $4k+

There is no such agreement albeit spoken of by a few. No forum policy against posting a link to an auction ad well.

I have no qualms with members posting auction links and making members aware of rifles that fit this communities interest.

I would at the same time be OK with the classifieds section being hidden for members until a certain sizeable post count is reached to detract scammers and people sniping deals. Maybe contrary to the former statement, but just my opinion.

Not that I was aware but, if so, I apologize. I have posted links to auctions in the past.

I guess there is no such agreement, but would like to see it (even if de facto by members) for reasons discussed by many before.

Ever notice that the same people always seem to be on auctions? Are they just secondary sellers? I can't do auctions. Too hard on the nerves. Give me runny tummy...

With hi-bid it really just depends..

I’ve grabbed lots of things there WAY below retail value (several swaro scopes in the $300 range for example)… and I’ve seen other things go significantly higher than they should..

I’ve found that auctions that end mid day, mid week, when most people are working are often when you can land some incredible deals… while pretty much any auction that ends between 7-9pm central time any day of the week will go high..

I’ve also found that “gun” auctions where you have someone selling a collection or a gun shop selling off inventory tend to get a lot of attention..,

Where I’ve had incredible luck are the more general auctions where people are just selling off a house full of stuff, and a few of the items happen to be firearms or hunting gear…

There was a sporterd 1903 Springfield that looked like it was reasonably well done that sold on hibid about a month ago that went for $45…. I’m still kicking myself in the ass for not bidding on that one..

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
