Wanting to buy a Winchester Safari Express in 375 H&H magnum. Looking for a pre 64 style action, not a push feed and preferably a New Haven Connecticut built firearm.
Not the best place for this type of request. This thread is for guns people have found that they believe others will find to be a good deal. You would be better off starting your own ad in the classified section as a "Want To Buy". Just be aware that these types of ads bring scammers out of the wood work, so be very wary, vet the seller, and if need be, ask for help before sending money.Wanting to buy a Winchester Safari Express in 375 H&H magnum. Nice! Let us know how it shoots.View attachment 739190I ended up picking up a new Safari Express in 375 H&H today for 1650.00. The nicest wood and the fit and finish was absolutely impressive. The best that I’ve seen in the several others that I’ve handled recently. Needless to say, it went home with me today. This is my first new production Winchester, and my initial impression is that is as nice or better than my New Haven Winchesters I own. I can’t wait to test her out this weekend!
I love my new one.View attachment 739190I ended up picking up a new Safari Express in 375 H&H today for 1650.00. The nicest wood and the fit and finish was absolutely impressive. Even used the normal (non-rail EE) seems to sell for now less than $3,600ish and often well above, so ya, if that gun was still available, it would appear a steal. Even if you purchased just to part out extra barrels, scope, case, and then sell the stocked action with the 270 at a discount.
Someone here should have fun with it. I’d do it but for already talking myself into trying to import a couple Heyms several pages back, and then only a few days into turning a new leaf and aspiring for a couple months of a gun fast or cleanse, needing to resupply my toy/gun/safari fund, I stumbled into a London Best Rigby on Cabelas site Thursday night and which of course led to call and learned of a 2nd rifle from the same gent, a Highland Stalker. I somehow went from saying no more for a while to calling on one and buying two. While I can’t say no to a Highland Stalker more than half off, still opposite of my present goals….So I must look away.
