"Vaccinated adults had a 74 percent lower risk of dying from Covid-19, and a 25 percent lower risk of dying period."

Yah that last part in red, not so sure about that. I'm just a dumb engineer and not a doctor, but I'm quite certain everyone runs a 100% risk of dying......period.

I wonder if it is referencing a reduction in all cause mortality. The same was documented with the measles vaccine in children.

Weren't you born during the cold war? Just saying.

To more modern times, Romney did say during a debate that Russia was our biggest political adversary. McCain also didnt exactly have nice things to say as well so fair point.
If you remember, Romney said during his debate with Obama, that he felt Putin was the greatest threat to the U.S. at that time. Obama then lambasted and made fun of Romney stating something to the effect that”the days of placing plastic soldiers and tin tanks on a war board are over”. The same later elected President Obama that didn’t give the Syrian rebels the weapons they needed to overthrow Syrian dictator Bashar Assad, which later resulted in at least 18K rebels hanged by Assad’s regime and countless others tortured and killed. I guess we should have elected Romney. Elections have consequences. Just ask the Syrians.

re: the whole vaccine reluctance. there is a documentary, that you can watch on youtube, make up your own mind

an inconvenient study

this discusses the relative lack of safety measures and studies done on vaccines.

Indeed. We didn’t get here overnight.

Watched Tampon Tim on camera yesterday explaining the difference between corruption and fraud… while pointing out how well Meeneesoatah is being run. What a master of charlatan gaslighting! Saddest part is he and others just like him keep getting elected. Dem politicians learn to pathologically lie early on and those voting for them and covering for them want and expect them to continue to do so. Simple explanation - The end justifies any means for those with TDS.

I am in no way defending the steps taken by this and most western governments - particularly once it became obvious that the death rate from covid was far lower than anticipated by the initial modelling and largely confined to at risk groups. What I am concerned about is that the reactions to those mandates have been equally exaggerated by the new anti-vax movement. Like most things, the truth is something else again. Unfortunately, once people choose a side, they are unwilling to entertain any alternative information - however compelling. I find the French study very compelling, but I am rather skeptical that our current Secretary of Health and Human Services is likely to review it.

To date, the only statistical "release" about children being harmed by mRNA vaccines has been the unvetted memo leaked from Dr. Vinay Prasad. Commissioner Makary has publicly confirmed the agency is investigating these reports and reviewing the autopsies, stating that these were "kids who died immediately after getting the Covid shot."

Upon review of that investigation, I would hope and expect a refinement in guidance with regard to children.
Make Brandon and The Fauch proud… talk about running cover for and clinging to a narrative that was being warned about, in real time, when it was happening.

So predictable. Attempt to be insulting, put on blinders, never review assumptions, and never be self-critical when new information emerges. But thank you. You have provided a perfect example of the stereotypical behavior exhibited right and left, and timely to this discussion.

If I may offer a not particularly blinding prediction, we will continue to learn more about the COVID pandemic in the coming decades. Some of those new conclusions will undermine the policies initiated by governments such as masking, social distancing, and closing schools, while others will undermine assumptions about the evils of mRNA vaccines.

I am neither far or against any of this new information. I do not have a "side" in this effort. I would simply suggest that the more information we have, the more data we accumulate, the more prepared we will be when the pandemic with an actual 10-20% mortality rate really does show up.

I thought this was one of the 27 or so wars Trump had personally brought to an end. That whole foreign policy thing gets tricky.
Correct! Just like the DRC-Rwanda deal, Ukraine-Russia, Israel-Palestine, Hatfields-McCoys, etc, etc.

My wife works at a CDC, and she has 5 kids (class of 18) with some type of behavior disorder, and or Autism. It seems like everywhere you turn there is a child with this type of disorder. I believe this rate is alarming, and the Doctors do not hesitate on prescribing XYZ drugs to these kids. I have a couple friend who have refused to put their child under these drugs, and they are coping on their own way.

I come from the era in which mom's smoked and drank, and here I am. I think/believe I'm normal, some may say otherwise. :ROFLMAO: I gave my grandparents a run for their money, grounded, spanked, you name it and I got it, and here I am. :ROFLMAO:

Besides the lack of discipline, what could be causing this? Any doctors in the house?

My understanding is that the explanation in the article you posted is probably correct.

The increase in diagnosis seems likely to be coming from changes in the definitions of those problems and how we think about them and test for them, rather than any significant changes in the population we are looking at.

I concur with this, while I do believe we have higher instances of autism and behavior issues that are yet to be explained; I also believe that tests/studies are being formulated to give desired results.

This issue of testing and outcomes came up in a recent university in-service I attended for youth education and outreach; an educator stood up in front of the entire department and said.......

"I think we are patting our selves on the back for success that is being shown only by data points; these tests and surveys are formatted to produce data that makes us look good while failing to produce the results of improvement."

Every single administrators face melted into a scowl, I on the other hand couldn't have been more proud of her for voicing the truth.

I was always a big fan of Romney's. He and Huntsman were unfairly underrated.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
