What stocks are you trading today

I have a KRG Bravo in FDE that I may sell and am in the market for a Magpul X-22.

:ROFLMAO: :A Stirring:

Bitcoin has had a good run this year, up 135% and is nearing $100k. I've never owned Bitcoin. A guy I worked with, and was neighbors with for several years, bought some when it was a few hundred dollars. I told him he was nuts. Yeah, I called that one.

I think I remember Bitcoin being advertised under coke bottle caps in high school. Kick myself quite often for not buying early on. Heck even right around Covid would have been nice

I ve been doing well in ESOP .....Employee Share Ownership Plans ....If your company has one i believe it is a good investment .... usually there are incentives to get you involved ...payroll deduction , our program originally had for every two shares held for a year the company would give you one more , dividends and of course rising share values . Then there is the fact you are a shareholder which gives you a vote in how the company is run. It always upset my bosses that I could contact the CEO of the company and go to the yearly Shareholders Meeting .

I have no idea what is being bought or sold on my behalf. I turned that over to one of the leading wealth management firms years ago and don’t even bother to look at it. When I need money for something, they put it in my checking account. I can say, however, that Home Depot has been very, very good to me!

Thanks for the information!

I recently checked out Digifinex and was impressed with its range of crypto offerings. After reviewing it, I found the platform pretty user-friendly, with decent security features and options for both beginners and experienced traders. Their staking options, particularly for USDT, also caught my interest. My digifinex review would highlight its competitive fees and ease of use, which I think makes it an ideal choice for those getting started in the crypto world. It’s worth a try for anyone looking to diversify their trading options or learn more about digital assets.
I agree with you, the information was helpful

Call me boring but I put all of my investment through a DIY platform into global index tracker funds... very cheap costs and good returns. Im not smarter than the stock market and I dont believe a fund manager is either over the long term, so instead im just going to bet on the market.

I was in Bitcoin a bit, then sold last week. IMHO, there will be a pull back, and I pan to buy again.

Someone mentioned ESOP companies. I agree, they can be good....right up until they arent. I worked for one that went into bankruptcy and saw ESOP valuation drop to nothing. Horrific tragedy for employees who's retirement planning centered around their ESOP balances

I've never seen a long-term success for an ESOP. The problem is it democratizes decision making so the workers are the management are the investor. The ability to kill inefficiency and end jobs is restricted by the worker's incentives to keep their old ways at the same time they are trying to protect their long-term investments.

This is particularly problematic since most firms have 20% of the people delivering 80% of the results.

They'd probably work better if the employees never had a controlling majority of the outstanding shares. (E.g. employees own 20% of shares outstanding)

Postscript: Just realized I replied to a 2024 era post. Whoops

I bought Ethereum, Dogecoin and Bitcoin years ago, I thought then that Ethereum would outperform Bitcoin. And it did early after its release. Bitcoin tanked for a while and is doing well after Trumps second term. But now Ethereum has plummeted. But it never did cost much to buy in as Bitcoin did.

But this is per speculation. Not investing.

similar to some domain sites I have registered. Waiting for the a certain athlete coming up the ranks to need this domain. It’s per speculation. He could be injured, not pan out etc. Not investing. It’s speculation

Imported guns - as any new supply from Europe is going to be plus 25 percent !

Never had the smarts for shares and such like !

I like the sports athlete domain name idea. Even if one De'Shaun Jamarcus washes out of the NFL, sooner or later you'll get another one that's in the hall of fame. Your domain name will sell eventually!

Dan Smith on the other hand...not so much.

The one Domain name I spoke of was Roki Sasaki. I bought a dozen or so in his name years ago when he was a kid. Hoping he would pan out and come to the MLB.

Well he did this year. And hasn’t made the huge splash I hoped for. Now he’s injured

But I’m still confident he will be a mega sports star. I have been offered paltry sums ( still a tidy profit) since he came to the MLB. But I’m confident his stock will rise next season. Pure speculation.

I did similar. Just a few years ago, I stopped buying my normal stocks I invested in. And with my monthly work retirement funds (like a 401k) starting buying eth and btc ETFs. We always had them in Canada vs USA just being allowed.

The btc is well up for 100%. I had 25k waiting to buy more at 40k when it pulled back from 60k but it never hit my buy. Misses big on that but I'll take the gains. I pulled half the profit out a few weeks ago and sitting on the rest happy.

Same for eth. I started buying when it was 1600 in retirement funds monthly. And this done very well. Same thing. Sold some profit and sitting on it on. Only issues holding cryptos in etf is trading it during exchange hours. If it tanked on weekend can't do anything.

Other than crypto, it's mainly from oil stocks. Mining. General market vanguard ETFs. GME.

Very, very big week in the market this week. There will be some major movement.

38% of the SP500 is reporting this week
FOMC meetings/pressers
Various economic numbers being released

And there is even more than that. Going to be interesting.

I call 25 bps cut to the Fed rate. Powell has no choice.

Bought some EPD and SLV today. Bought EPD because it was down today but a great pipeline company. Bought SLV because I try to buy some precious metals weekly.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
