I do find myself using terms like "cheeky " and "we'll make a plan" another at work. I've also learned how important wind direction is and how unimportant camouflage is. I have to admit, for a while I strongly considered a JRT as my next dog, thanks mostly to the word famous pair from the center of the universe, but my heart is tied to bird dogs.

The fun is really starting when you have to “make a plan.”
AWA or “Africa Wins Again” is part of the deal. Some thing won’t work as planned, so AWA and make a new plan.
“Stay close behind me” actually means really, really close, like slow dancing in junior high close, like nascar drafting close.

Bliksem! Can have a few meanings depending on the situation or the person using it.
So in the old Dutch venicular it refers to a lightning strike and in modern terms to Bliksem someone means to give them an ass whipping.
Then we can refer to someone as a Bliksem which means he is a bit of a bugger . You can also refer to a crafty fellow as in “ watch out for that Bliksem he’ll short change you”..
Or that Bliksemse buffalo kept running. As in effing buffalo kept running
Then it can be an exclamation such as.”BLIKSEM that it a big kudu bull”. Which would almost similar to saying Wow or o my gosh! You can also refer to a naughty little shit as a klein (small) Bliksem or my favourite a “rowwe Bliksem “ which has become a term of endearment for a young hard working hard playing South African man as made popular in the Buffelsfontein Brandy adverts…

I remember that I picked this up from Nick after we would eat a big meal or have a couple drinks "That put me in four low". I believe that was it anyway...
I think I uttered that after you bought us lunch with the sandwiches & milkshakes in E. London.

The other one I remember was the equivalent of "Yes" but pronounced "Yeaaa"!

Thanks, it is always interesting to see how slang words are used from there original meaning. Think I have heard it used just about every way you describe.
