KMG Hunting Safaris AH Members Group Hunt With BRICKBURN In 2020

There's a lot of options out there for a sophomore hunter and a lot of time for lineup changes, but right now I'm liking: zebra, tiny ten animals, caracal and whatever I happen to be lucky enough to cross paths with!

Caracal was a very fun hunt.
Have you taken any of the small guys yet?

No, none of the little critters as of yet. I'm hoping for the possibility of a dik-dik in Namibia this year.

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

The 5 in bold could be a possible focus for you on the hunt.
I'd say ask about that Oribi permit now.

Permits and range can create some of the difficulty. I ranked them easiest to hardest in my experience and others will rearrange that list and will get no argument from me.

  • Common Duiker (also called Gray Duiker or Bush Duiker)
  • Steenbok (also known as Steinbuck or Steinbok)
  • Klipspringer
  • Red Forest Duiker (also called Red Duiker, Natal Duiker or Natal Red Duiker)
  • Blue Duiker
  • Cape Grysbok (also called Southern Grysbok)
  • Sharp's Grysbok (also called Northern Grysbok)
  • Oribi
  • Damara Dik-Dik
  • Suni

Mucho thanks for the input!

Oribi already sold for 2020. (y)

A new Sponsor just arrived on AH @SURE SIGHT and they have an interesting product.
Being a Bow Hunter it grabbed my attention.
The new thread basically asked if I would consider using this type of sight.
https://www.africahunting.com/threa...im-shoot-automatic-bow-sight-yes-or-no.51519/
I have always used traditional pin sights on my bow and done well enough but thought why not consider giving this new kind of sight (to me) a try when I am in Africa on this hunt.

I decided to ask Roger if I might take one on a test drive during the AH Group hunt.

I got an affirmative reply and I will certainly share how this sight works on my bow.

I decided to watch the "set up" video on Youtube

It appears to be straight forward, meaning that even I should be able to get it operational in a reasonable period of time. I'll certainly be putting a bunch of arrows into a target before taking it into the field. Confidence matters.

Looking forward to trying out a new toy in Africa.

Good morning,
Does anyone have a head count as of this date?
Just wanted before I make a decision.
Thx
Geo

if i wasn't going to be in Wyoming i would consider this hunt. looks like a great time and deal of a hunt. although it would be a stretch financially do joust up the money that quickly i would make something work. i hope everyone has a good time.
