Lion was quartering toward and facing to the right. Bullet entered on point of right shoulder breaking the shoulder, traveling through heart and lungs. Bullet was recovered underneath the hide on the far side near the last rib. After passing through ribs on far side, bullet tracked rearward just under hide for about 6 inches, lacking enough velocity to exit the hide. Bullet track on hide is visible in accompanying photo.
She did the typical jump, spin, bite and ran about 50 yards before expiring.
Very satisfied with bullet performance and would certainly use again for lion.

Blue Wildebeest was broadside and facing to the right. Bullet entered low in near side shoulder, traveled through the heart, exited ribs on the far side but did not pass through hide. Bullet was recovered under hide on far side.
Wildebeest ran approximately 100 yards and dropped dead.
Very satisfied with bullet performance and would use again.

Ram was bedded quartering toward and facing to the left as can be seen in picture. Immediately after photo was taken, the #2 ram in the group head butted his dead buddy and knocked him off the ledge.
Shot was taken angling down from above. Bullet entered base of neck, traveled downward through chest cavity and ended up underneath the hide low on the far side. He died almost instantly in his bed.
I am happy with bullet performance, but would probably use a more heavily constructed bullet for sheep in the future. This bullet on heavy bone would be too lightly constructed in my opinion.

Buck was quartering sharply away facing to the left. Shot was taken from a little above, entered high near the back rib and traveled forward at a downward angle through the chest cavity and ended up under the hide on the brisket just inboard of the right shoulder. He dropped at the shot and dead right there.
I am happy with bullet performance and believe this is a good choice for whitetail deer. I would go with a heavier or more heavily constructed bullet for anything larger than whitetail deer. I would not try to punch through heavy bone with this bullet.

Quarting towards bullet hit just behind front shoulder exited just in front of hind leg and kept going.
No report on bullet retention.
In the pic my son is holding a steel rod that that goes for entrance to exit about 23"without hide we field dressed it at the skinning shed in hopes of finding bullet instead found exit hole. With angle only hit 1 lung put a 1.5-2" hole in lung traveled through stomach and intestines then out leaving a .75-1" hole in hide.

Need to take a pic but shot two zebra with a 30-06 Norma Oryx 180grn. Both broadside no bone hit and found them under the skin on the offside. Both zebra where about 100yards. Was amazed the bullets didn't exit. Guess I'm to use to the 338 win with accubond bullet on elk. One fell where it stood the other went 50 yards.

Are you really getting 4550 fps with a 400 grain, 0.416 caliber bullet? If so, my goodness I'd hate to have to stand behind that thing when it went off........ As IdaRam says....just razzin'......

I'm sure it's a typo? In all seriousness however, that Woodleigh hydrostatic solid performed unbelievably in a Cape Buffalo. That's exactly what you want from a solid. Definitely the desired performance if taking the old Texas heart shot.....
