Hi , following in @matt85 Big Bore Addiction Group , with permission I have decided on starting a Fishing Addiction Group . Most of us hunting folk enjoy our fishing as well.

Please post fish that you have caught on either fly tackle or conventional tackle

I am an avid fisherman , fishing mostly deep sea for pelagic species , let me begin with this magnificent dog tooth tuna caught off the northern Mozambique coast line . More pic's to follow .

more photos to follow , please post your pic's .

Mexico is on my list of fishing destinations.
If you decide to go to South Baja and fish the sea of cortez let me know, I can tell you a couple companies to STAY AWAY from, you will be wasting your time. You will catch lots of fish with them but none of the monsters. The rooster above was caught with a local that spoke no english out of Bahia de Los Suenos. The pics below are the average of what we caught with one of those companies a lot further north

@Pawprint Safaris Man Pieter those are some seriously nice bass. It's easy here in the US to not realize that not only have Largemouth (and I think smallmouth as well) been introduced to South Africa, but with a climate like that the largemouth in particular must really flourish. What is the main forage they eat in those ponds?

They mostly feed on Tilapia. Yes we have large and small mouth. The smalls being scarcer.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
