.550 magnum caliber?

Still do. Planing on building 2 on cz 550, 416 Rigby action. Tried the ammo in the action. Functions perfectly. Now need to get them barreled as I already have stocks for them with recoil reducers.
Matter of time getting to it.
Krish
Good deal, how are you?

I’m not giving you a hard time, l just don’t think the 550 would be my first choice for deer. Just saying.
Me either. :-). To quote Robin Williams character in Good Will Hunting, “I was being ironical.” Actually, just being a smart ass. . . no irony involved.

Getting better every day. Still have to wait for 4 more week before I come out of the cervical collar and 8lb limit for handling anything.

Good to hear.

Sinister Looking Cartridge, Interesting read.

It would be a good rifle if you want your deer pre-ground for sausage or hamburger!

Krish, I have more concerns with my R shoulder after multiple surgeries than my C3-C4 fusion; Take care, and follow the Doc's and Physio's instructions.

Hey Krish....glad to hear you are building a 550 Magnum. I am as well....using a Granite Mountain Arms African Magnum action and Pacnor 1-20" twist barrel. Already have the dies and projectiles from Hawk and Cutting Edge. Keep us updated on your build!

Nice to hear from you. Will contact you soon.

I guess one could build this rifle in a single shot as there aren't any videos of anyone in a hurry to shoot round two. Not even the few that manage it well.

I started the process to build one 3 years ago. I procured the dies and the action but it hasnt proceeded any further. If only we could buy at auction in the US.

One in the upcoming Rock Island auction
It’s a wonderful thing to post a rare gun in an upcoming auction, we certainly don’t want it to go unnoticed because possibly not enough people have seen it? It’s important to maximize the number of folks aware of it so we can pit more AH members and whoever else against one another in order for it to hammer at a maximum bid price, would be a shame if it went unnoticed by some and went for considerably less, wouldn’t want that to happen now would we? Thanks.

Wth?
You know buckstix is just gunna buy it anyway right? :P

So that’s an original CZ made in .550 magnum? It would have been cool if CZ had of fully adopted that chambering for their rifles and marketed them, got someone producing factory ammo etc.
Probably wouldn’t have sold many but they could have still made it their own.

I attended SCI in Vegas in 2017. I believe that CZ USA donated a CZ 550 in 550 Magnum that year as well. I was at the CZ USA booth at the time and the auction only had a few minutes until closure, the CZ rep informed me that it was way under the retail price and I should bid on it. I never did, didn't know what a 550 magnum was and anyways, it would have been difficult but not impossible to import into Canada. Lost opportunities I guess.

I am one of the nutz building a 550.Mine is a longer version than
what the others are building using Weatherby brass.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.
