I'm not known for being up on the newest latest greatest anything so it's no surprise that I haven't heard of these yet. Apparently introduced in 2018, and available everywhere it seems.

Has anyone here had the unfortunate opportunity to use one of these ? Do they perform as advertised?

If they work they will be must-have addition to everything first-aid in my world...my work, all of my hobbies, and especially in my hunting gear...I know me...I'll likely need one eventually.

Interesting.

I once had to put four stitches in a guys thumb. Nope, not a doctor, but did use to cross-stitch with my mom when I was a kid.

this probably would not have worked for this guy given the angle of the cut across his thumb. A good idea though.

The literature says it’s stronger than conventional stitches. I don’t know about that but I do know that if the wound is cleaned properly where the glue adheres then it should be strong enough to be a bitch to get back off.
But most definitely it would be a great first-aid when out it the woods...and no needles making more holes.

I think pretty good idea especially for remote camps where you may want to be able to stay instead of very expensive flights/travel. Probably good for some wounds but not all. Probably best used with antibiotics.

Looks like a good addition to a first aid kit, I have used butterfly bandages and prepackaged sutures before, but these look like a nice setup

Damn and all these years I've been putting hunting buddies back together with Crazy glue and gauze.

Me too for the crazy glue! I've had holes in my body glued together on several occasions!
This looks like a good idea.
I've had some that IDK how I'd get the bleeding stopped first though.

In the movie The Revenant I believe it was done with a little gun powder and a spark. :Blackeye:

I haven't used these yet, but they look really cool. I was following them when they came out a couple years ago but prices were still kinda high. When they come down a little I think they will make a good addition to any first aid kit.

Clozex has one that looks easier yet with a few videos on YouTube for different scenarios.

Looks like Band-Aid brand has a version as well as a few lessor known brands.

@RandyF
Makes two of us that have never heard of it. Great idea.
It only closes wound up to 4mm wide so I would hazard a guess it wouldn't keep a nagging wife's mouth closed. Ah well I will have to stick with duct tape for that one

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
