For the last several years I’ve made it a point to stop and visit any of our AH Outfitters that attended the SCI in Nashville. I plan to the same thing again in 2026 as I start planning my next African adventure. It’s taken me years of trying but I finally convinced my wife and daughter to come to Africa with me and my son, so my focus at the 2026 SCI is booking a family safari for 2027. My daughter’s birthday is in early July, and she would like to spend it in Africa. We are looking for a 7-10 safari with a week or so at Victoria Falls before or after the safari. I’m looking for Buffalo, my son is after Bushbuck and Eland (He wants to finish his Spiral Slam) and my daughter wants a Nyala. To be honest it will take very little arm twisting for us to take a big Kudu and/or a Golden Wildebeest. I have hunted in South Africa 3 times and I’m very comfortable there but I’m also open to hunting other countries in Africa, so if you’re going to be at the 2026 SCI please let me know and I’ll be happy to stop by and start planning. I believe all four of us will be at the SCI so be prepared to answer lots of questions about your lodging, food and the all-important side trips for the girls.

Thanks and I hope to see you in Nashville.

Hi there,

My hunting lodge is located between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa, in the Limpopo province, just a short drive from one of the Kruger National Park gates. It’s a very comfortable and beautiful place, perfectly suited for families. We offer a wide range of activities for non-hunters, both on the property and in the surrounding region — game drives, photographic safaris, spa options, river outings, scenic activities, etc.

As for Victoria Falls, traveling there from our lodge is easy. Some of our guests add it before or after their safari. And for aviation enthusiasts, it’s even possible to arrange the trip in a small private plane, which is quite an experience.

Regarding the animals you’re interested in — buffalo, bushbuck, eland, nyala — we have everything needed on our concession or in the surrounding partner areas. And I should add: our area is known for producing some of the largest kudu in the region.

I won’t be attending SCI Nashville, unfortunately, but I’d be very happy to prepare a precise quote for your family. The easiest way is to visit my website and send a request through the form — that gives me all the details I need to tailor the proposal perfectly.

Looking forward to helping you plan an unforgettable safari.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
