What is considered a reasonable trophy size Warthog?

You'll be a while finding his twin.

My first Warthog.

I have no idea if this guy is a "Trophy". My PH and I sat in a blind for over 6 hours. We probably seen 25-30 Pigs and he said no to each one. When this one came in he said shoot it - so I did. I can't measure him until he comes home as his tusks were still inserted when I left Africa just 3 weeks ago. My PH and his PH buddy did make a point of saying this guy had "thick" tusks. I hope he makes SCI, but not sure.

Geez Mark! That's incredible. While I've had good luck with many species, I can't find a good warthog...I'm the guy that hears you should have seen the one last week...yea. I don't want to shoot an average one so I'm probably the only guy going this much who doesn't have one. I've seen loads of them but not one I wanted to shoot yet.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
