I am looking for a leather Merkel double rifle travel case or equivalent. Please contact me with photo and price.

I have a variety of used and new-old-stock cases for shotguns and double rifles. Prices range from $250-$1000. Send me a PM with your barrel dimensions and if O/U or SxS, and what gauge, and your budget. I'll send you pics of what might work easily.

You can also get a case and have it custom reworked on the interior for exactly what you own. Case fitters typically charge $500-$600 for all new interiors fitted to your gun and accessories, plus the cost of the case.

I sent you a message. Didn't realize they were so expensive.

They are. New cases can cost you over $4500 if oak and leather. Merkel doesn’t make cases, they smoosh their stuff in the cheapest Spanish cases they can find.

I may have one of those that suits you, worn, for $300 plus freight.

can you send me photos of it.

There's a leather Merkel Case for double rifle on Guns International. They were made by Emmebi of Italy.

It is new but $1,000. I just saw it. They will get beat up quickly as you will see given they are leather…think a leather briefcase under an airline seat. If it was me I would reach out to @rookhawk and buy one used. just my experience owning so many of them

If you still need one, I one that was for a 470 Merkel. Close to new and I can beat that price easily.
Let me know.

$500 plus actual shipping. I’m out of Nogales, AZ if you’re anywhere close. If you want more photos let me know. I loosened the blocking at the barrel end to use it for an English double, but thought better of it. I can glue them back in place or you can do it. As I said it was for a Merkel 470 bought before I was converted to the English rifle side by my old friend Cal Pappas.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
