Hi all,
I'm looking to purchase a 1-?x24 scope of some sorts as an optic for the .375H&H barrel on my M03.
As I'm a bit of a swaro fan boy, my thoughts are going to the Z6i 1-6x24 scope. However, when taking this with the swarovski rail, there are only 3 reticles available. The 4-I, the BRT-I and the LD-I. The latter one is definitely not to my taste, but the former isn't neither, as I do not like these heavy duplex lines so close to the actual cross hair, it take us up to much of the view in my opinion (the BRT-I makes no sense to my mind for a rather close up scope). Now that being said, I have not yet looked through one yet, so I'm just going off the pictures I find online.
For those who have experience with it, is the 4-I also disturbing to you in real life, or it does not bother you?
Here the pic's to compare:
Now the Z8i 1-8x24 (I do not really need the 8x and especially not with the increased cost) does have the 4A-I option, which I much prefer:
Thanks for your input. If you have alternative suggestions, I'm open to them, as long as they are compatible with either Swaro Rails, or Zeiss LM rails. And as long as it has a true 1x and a minimum of 6x.
Oh and just as an explanation, I have not been able to find any Ring mounts compatible with Mauser M03 mounting system. I currently have SR rail mount, Zeiss rail mount and a Docter Red dot mount. (so perhaps I could go for a 1.7x or something, and keep the Docter mount in my pocket, just in case.)
Hmmm, options and questions...
Cheers,
V.
