Hunted
South Africa, New Zealand, USA, Canada,
I am excited about going to and hunting Spain. I first got interested in Spain because of a post by @Just Gina and @ActionBob. I chatted with Gina about their hunt and was encouraged to go. I am doing a Roe Deer hunt and a representative Ibex hunt. Bob probably will not surprise me with an early birthday present like Gina but I am hoping.

We fly into Madrid on Friday then travel directly to Valencia for a little tourism before the hunt. We will see the silk market, Sn Nicolas Church (Holy Grail), paella cooking class, central market, and a tour of the city. We will spend 4 days in Valencia.

Then off to hunt a little north of Valencia for 5 days. My wife is going to Pensacola and other are attractions while I hunt. We will start with the best Roe Deer I can find then try for a representative Bercite Ibex. I understand the issues with scabies but we will give it a try.

After the hunt we will travel to Barcelona for 4 days to see Tarragona, Park Guel, the central market, Montserrat Monastery, La Sagrada Famillia, and other Guadi sites.

Then we go back to Madrid for 4 days with trips to Segovia, Avila, and Toledo. We have a city tour of Madrid planned and lots of lunch and dinner reservations. Then we fly back. It is a direct flight DFW to Madrid on American Airlines.

Pray that the forecast for thunderstorms on Friday will be after we are in the air. I am praying for no delays. At least my wife works for American Airlines and can reaccommodate us if needed but that is not always easy. Suplico sus oraciones por nosotros.

I will post a hunting report when I return.

Good luck with your hunt in Spain. Last year my wife and I walked the Camino de Santiago where we stayed in a hotel that had massive roe deer racks in the dining room. I hope you get one that big. It also gave me an itch to go after one myself.

Hope you enjoy your trip !

Awesome!
Spain is wonderful, enjoy it to the fullest.
I’ll be anxiously awaiting a proper report with lots of pictures.

@Finprof “Last year my wife and I walked the Camino de Santiago…”
Congrats on your Camino, heck of an accomplishment.
I plan to do the Camino de Santiago Frances y Finisterre, hopefully within the next 5 years.

Hope you have a good trip, sounds like some great touring along with the hunt. My wife and I are wheels up on April 15th to hunt Roe deer north of Barcelona

While in Madrid try to see the Prado museum.

Spain is truly a beautiful place to visit! Best of luck on the hunting!! I do suggest to try and get tickets and reservations for some of the more popular tourist sites beforehand or you will waste a large part of your day waiting on line.

Four hunting/tourist trips there thus far, One of my two favorite places to hunt in Europe. Just a glorious place to visit. The ibex in my avatar is a Beciete. The Roe deer are some of the largest in Western Europe. The Prado is an incredible must see in Madrid (hire a private guide through your hotel).

I know virtually nothing about roe deer, but that looks like a big one @Justbryan. Congratulations!

Well done! I need to take the wife on a trip like this.

I was there in December and will go back for the last Ibex in October. Same flight!
Have a great hunt.

Like I told you congrats for the trophies, nice ones. I hope you finish your trip in Spain with a great experience. Was a pleasure that you enjoy my country

Thanks Aranuel for the advice. It was helpful in getting what I came to Spain to hunt. I am enjoying Barcelona now then to Madrid on Wednesday.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
