Some Mauser porn :)

Very nice you have a Pair of Rigbys at about 1/3 the Rigby price!

Oh my those are pretty. My forever rifle is my dads 1933 Oberndorf Mauser, wearing the original 8x57 bbl. It had a several decade transition to a more appropriate sporting dress and is my go to for New York deer and moose. I would love to take it to Africa (SA) with me this April for plains game, but it is our first time traveling internationally and I just am not brave enough to deal with the firearm issue first time around.
I hired a rifle, my first ever (only) international trip. Hassle free but it would have been nice to have my own rifle there as part of the whole experience.

Many are saying that rifle permits can help. Probably worth it to have a local there to walk you through.

Plenty of people just take their own rifles no hassles. I didn't but seems it's no too much to with about.

Love those Mauser rifles. Perfect blend of elegance and function. I had one in 416 Rigby for a bit and regret parting with it. I’ve definitely been tempted to pick one up in the smaller calibers.

Back before commercial Mausers, other than FN's, were available, I had this one made. It is caliber 7X57 based on a G33/40 action with a Douglas Featherweight barrel and a stock by the Reinhart Fajen Custom Shop. It has been to Africa once and acquitted itself admirably, with a Record Book Peter's Gazelle, a nice bushbuck and a couple of wildebeest, one taken running in full stride, all one shot kills.

My 1967 made Churchill Gun Makers Model Deluxe 7x57mm Mauser, built on a Yugoslavian military surplus Mauser 98 action. Parts shipped from England. Assembled in Sialkot, Pakistan.

It sees regular use on Chital deer, Kakar deer and jungle boars. In the past, it’s also accounted for a few Asian sloth bears and a Royal Bengal tiger.

Hell, even photos of Swedish Chicks holding Mausers
There is the perception that they are all Blonde and Beautiful., And I wouldn't mind if they are.
@CBH Australia
CHRIS, Chris,Chris what would your beautiful wife say if she read that.
I can see a severe bitch slapping.

After all this Mauser P*rn, if any of our French members are interested in purchasing a brand new Mauser M98 .375H&H with wood grade V. There is one being offered on Naturabuy (for some time now) for 5280€ (=6KUSD)... (Not my advertisement, but I have been looking at it...) :p

A year and a half since I saw it at least and I had kept it until the address of the armory. I think he was in Troyes or Rems.

You are right, I just checked, it has been online since at least August of 2019! He is located in the Vosges region.

It is unfortunate the seller is not willing to export. He would have a bigger audience. But to be honest, I also smell something fishy too...

Until this guy posts something on pay it forward free I would avoid him at all costs.

If it hasn't sold by next week I might be interested. Stock would have to be changed along with some other items. I'm already having a 416 Rigby built so money is a tad bit tight.

Hey pal! I'll take all the .375 bullets if they're available.
Thanks!
