Mine is but a simple Merkel K3 in 7X57R. Just acquired. Will be reloading for it soon. Have a bunch of Norma Oryx 156 grain with which I will play, and will begin the search for white tail this autumn...

I took The Dakota #10 243 Win to the range the last couple of days.

I shot some factory ammo and reloads.

Most everything I shot was under a 1" group for 3 shots at 100 yards!
I'm very impressed that it shoots so easily.

I'm not crazy about the rifle not having an ejector like the Ruger #1 but rather an extractor. With that it's a bit of a pain to operate at the range.

But beautiful rifle that seems to shoot well! I will be fun to hunt pests with....

my #3 in 45-70 shoots with the best of them, 300 gr hornady with 50 grs H4198 for 2000 fps. my #1 also like that load, both shot from a rest at 100 yards.

Did you ever have issues with this chipping wood from the stock? My 10ga h&r pardoner did when I shot tss through it.
thriller,
I always reinforce (bed) the butt stock and for-end for that reason, see in the photo that the receiver and butt stock junction have a brass spacer, it is epoxy bedded. Brian
