Rules for Conversations/Private Messages

One question in no money charge for advartising on this forum??

If you're asking if it costs money to be able to advertise on this forum, the answer is yes. Those who pay to advertise are referred to as sponsors of the website.

I'm sorry but do not understand your question.
Yeah i was reading the rule's post.
I was not putting any propotions post or nothing just want to see ho is down to hunt with me and my post got delete ok no big deal but i thing the send point of this rule's post is the you have to pay for advartising hunts.
And if more people on the forum more expensive the money charge the every Outfitter "forum esponsor" have to pay.
I free about not doing spam advartising under PM.
I guess war pricing is good for AH because every Outfitter have to pay.
And i free with you guys but be straigth up with your polacy dont make it hard to understand.
Thank you and all the best from a hunter.

This your site and totaly respect it! Just my opinion on the post subject. Best regards

The world of social media is a constantly evolving one and owners of boards like this struggle to keep up with ever-changing scenarios while allowing some freedom but still trying to monetize their investment. In the end they piss some people off and lose some members. The hope is that your rules retain more members than they offend. I've seen it go both ways with messageboards and it seems to be a fine line. And let's face it, who ever reads the rules? I recently made an offer that Jerome deemed inappropriate. I found the reasoning a bit odd but his board...his rules. I can live with them or leave but I can't argue as I'm just a member here at his discretion. Sure the members make the community but the community only exists because of the owner. Anyhow, I enjoy it here and left it at that. Likely the best thing to do here. Accept the rules and carry on.

A couple of times I have been solicited by non sponsors for hunts. I reported them because 1) I had not asked for a hunt quote 2) it's not fare for a non sponsor to profit from the site on a hunt.
I have also received a PM when I had publicly asked about potential hunt opportunities and was grateful to receive advice and reasonable offers from sponsors.
Members enjoy sharing pictures and stories as well as learning the ropes about hunting all over the world. At the end of the day there are people here trying to make a living selling adventures and making member memories. You pay to play as my dad often said.

Thanks for providing a great site Jerome!

I'm a big believer in Jerome's rules and strongly support and encourage outfitters to become sponsors.

AH is possibly the best community I've encountered on the internet- lots of great information shared, friendly environment without judgy types, etc. I also trust the"Sponsor" banner when I see it- it means that the outfitter is not just trying to get money, but is supportive of this community.

Its important to remember that AH is not free. It costs money to host a website- and the more traffic you get, the more expensive it becomes. Its easy to forget about these costs if you're just a visitor or member enjoying the content. Sponsors paying their dues is what keeps AH up and running.
