I think in future I will think more than twice about stepping outside for a call of nature now. Tragic.

For those of us that don’t facebook.

Sad, condolences to his family.

That’s sad,…feel for his family. He sounded like a decent guy into the outdoors. Lions are no good

i would go outside the tent to piss at night on the first three hunting trips i took, but on the third trip i found large pug tracks right out side my tent in the morning. after that i pissed into a gallon jug in the tent and closed the fly and main flaps. my .375 H&H was put on the night stand pointing towards the opening loaded.

Got this update from my PH this morning.

This whole thing is just so sad. This was a good man who was killed. Very sorry for his widow and children.

The lioness was disposed of.

There’s a little more to the backstory of the lioness, but, it’s not my place…

On my very first day in Africa I had a call of nature, as I looked for a suitable spot a tracker approached me with my rifle. He told me never go anywhere without your rifle!

Condolences to his family and friends on their loss.

Where could one learn a bit more about the backstory? I am writing on modern day Man Killers and want to learn if there any more facts pertaining to this situation.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
