Politics

My 2¢, people's voting decisions are already made. The debates, the commercials, the social media blathering and the talking heads on tv are just noise.

+1

After watching just a few minutes of my (recorded) presidential debate, I think most people are missing the point of the debate. It isn't to educate us about the candidates, or the political views of each, or even how they will or would solve a problem. It's about how contentious they can make it and how much ratings the network gets so they can sell ads. This is not a debate like our class in college, with rules and procedures, it's about money and advertising. Even so the next morning the talking heads have something to go over ad nauseum and sell more ads. In my circle of life, I know of no one who will change their vote because of what they see on a "debate" It's all a bit sad

It's highly likely, that the Dem's know that Biden beating Trump is a longshot. They are hedging their bets in trying to retain a majority in the house, and gaining control of the Senate.
A lame duck term under that scenario would be ugly. The Dems would need a veto proof majority.
It's a long shot, but the Republicans need to get the house back, if anything, to eliminate 4 more years of endless impeachment and investigations, which has become nothing but political harassment against a sitting President.
Approx 40% of this country will vote for someone simply because they have a (D) next to their name, regardless of how much of a scumbag that Democrat is
Trump needs to target the independents, unhappy minorities, and swing voters.

Sad to say but I am willing to bet that Colorado will have two Democrat Senators after the election. Our lone Republican hasn't done enough here in the state and the state is leaning hard to the left the last couple of decades.

So if that happens the Republicans will be down 1 at least in the Senate.

I have said for a long time that it looks like a Trump landslide to me.

Not sure if the debates matter very much. Most people have their minds made up unless something major happens.

The major thing that can change votes is Trump exposing the fraud and corruption of Clinton, Obama, Biden, etc. prior to the election. Since December 2017 I have felt that the DOJ would have indictments or plea deals prior to the election. At this point, I am not sure this will happen, but it still could.

What I am confident of, is what Trump said last night and has said repeatedly for over a year. "We caught them, we caught them all" I truly believe that Trump has that information and that it will be released prior to the election. This is major and will influence voters that are in the middle and haven't decided yet. It will also influence centrist Democrats.

The polls don't seem to be within the margin of error to me. The polls are creating a narrative that says Trump can't win and if he does he cheated. Just like 2016.

I am still sticking with the Trump landslide, but it will be a few sticky weeks to get the electoral college figured out.

It will be an interesting 34 days. We are living in exciting times!
The real big teller, and possibly so huge that it eclipses all the rest of the debate if not the campaign was when Biden denied that Hunter got funds from the Moscow mayor contact. The pop was up on the internet for all to see! Apart from lying himself, this opens him up to all sorts of repercussions, including blackmail. It isn't the deed itself, but the way he handled it. Imagine the mess when all of Hunter's other shady dealings start coming out, the old man just cant handle it, it will destroy him. All the dems can do now is plough ahead with this increasingly fragile glass candidate. Trump better not throw his pebble until right at the end when it's too late to do anything about it, ie switch in Kamala. In a way I feel sorry for old Joe, he just wanted to retire and fade away.

This guy better be ready to come in heavy, because he doesn't look like he has been in many scraps to me.

Also, make no mistake, they want us dead, not defeated, dead.

Well, he will provide commentary while others line you against a wall according to his tweet.

What is amazing is the fact that he was the CEO of Twitter until 2015. Talk about a biased culture at that company.

Why looking at total votes don't matter.

Good time to restate the straightest path to 270 for Trump.

It's the "Core 3 +1": Hold the Core 3 of NC, FL, and AZ (likely)

Win 1 of the Rust Belt 4 of MN, WI, MI, PA (likely) (assumes NE-2, ME-2)

(I'm not saying he only gets 270)

Hope Hicks, a top aide for Trump, tested positive for covid. Trump under quarantine.

And now Trump has tweeted that he and FLOTUS have both tested positive for COVID-19.

Interesting development this late in the campaign.

I wonder when the President became infected. If it was before the debate it is possible that Biden is also infected and he doesn't appear to be in as good of health as the President- I suppose this is good news for Harris.

I wonder if Trump will get on hydroxychloroquine and publicly tout it again. Could get very interesting in the next few weeks.

The Leftist hate mob, are already screaming for his demise.

At least the President was open about it. With Harris-Biden they will just be out of view for a while, then if they survive, miraculously appear.
