I think NOT. Biden will stepdown or otherwise give up his position well before the end of his first year in office- I'd guess Vegas would put the Over/Under amount of time Biden would be president at about 90 days.
It is certainly possible that Biden will not serve a full four years, but even that is unlikely. More likely is that he will serve his four, but lean heavily on his cabinet and advisors, while allowing his VP to take a backstage executive role in preparation for 2024. There is no reason why he would step down if he can leave most of the governing up to others.
Biden is clearly in decline.... So much so that he is has been kept in his basement by his handlers for the better part of the year. If they are smart, they will keep him there. What I find truly laughable is that you can admit to Biden being a hot mess yet, you feel compelled to challenge Trump's mental acuity based on what exactly other than your TDS?
Trump is EXACTLY the same as he was when he took office. He is possibly sharper and certainly more politically savvy if anything. He has become a master-troll of social media and he is so adept at embedding himself in the mainstream media's head that he should be paying rent. He owns them and the despise him for it.
Trump is the ONLY thing keeping America from becoming a 3rd-world socialist shithole right now. The Republicans certainly are not capable of doing it. Turning up your nose at Trump because of his personal qualities is like refusing to board a lifeboat on the Titanic because you don't like the color of the seat covers. What I honestly don't understand is how anyone who actually loves this country, reveres the Constitution, and respects the rule of law could NOT vote for Trump at this point.!
Did you watch Trump's Axios interview? If after that you still believe him to be mentally sharp and politically savvy I will be surprised. I have never seen a president appear so woefully unprepared and utterly feckless in an interview.
I will not vote for socialism and I will not vote for "progressive" candidates. I put that in quotations because I dislike the usurpation of the term by socialists masquerading as Democrats. I saw an online post from Twitter or Facebook or somewhere from a Bernie supporter saying something to the effect of "we are not Democrats, we are socialists who are going to take over the Democratic party and we have no interest in voting for Democrats who do not support our views."
I reject your assertion that I cannot love my country and support the Constitution if I do not vote for Trump. Make no mistake, I find myself supporting Trump's policy positions more often than not, and Biden has been making himself awfully hard to support by recently adopting some "progressive" positions into his platform to appease Bernie voters. However, Trump has demonstrated that he is unwilling to lead, much less govern. I am no political purist, and I will vote for candidates despite myriad personal and policy flaws, but I do need to vote my conscience on this one and I cannot rightly say to myself that Trump is fit to be president. This country deserves better than Trump. I have pretty much given up on the Democratic party at this point, and I would gladly vote for another Republican candidate over Biden, but that is not the choice being offered.
I hope to see Trump soundly defeated and a field of talented, patriotic Republican candidates ready to take on and defeat Biden's VP. I think that Ben Sasse, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, and Rand Paul are all planning to run.
