The American Psychiatric Association (APA): In 2013, the APA removed "gender identity disorder" from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). It was replaced with gender dysphoria, which refers strictly to the psychological distress a person may experience due to an incongruence between their sex assigned at birth and their gender identity—not the identity itself.

There you go.
It should not surprise anyone that the APA has downgraded an obvious mental disorder to "gender dysphoria." They sold out to political correctness many years ago.

The left is so phucked up with their priorities. The left does not care one bit about aborting a child all the way up the 9th month. But they care more for the welfare and humane treatment of the douche bag that is in prison for killing someone.
I agree. Those on the left try to say that being antiabortion is hypocritical if those same people favor the death penalty. That's wrong. Being anti murder means that you don't support punishing the innocent, not that you don't support punishing the guilty. .

Unfortunately the APA is full of Psychiatrists.

Many Psychiatrists, and all that I personally know are not the most stable minded people.

The profession seems to attract mentally damaged people.
Having worked with many people in the mental health field it seems to.me that most of them got into it due to their own mental health.issues.

Watched OU v UT football game on tv today. Every other commercial was the Texas senate race. I feel for all of you in Texas who have been dealing with the monotony all summer and fall.

A total tragedy.

I don’t think warehousing him is really a societal benefit either. Honestly if I had the answer they would call we Yahweh. I have faith that humans have the ingenuity and intelligence to figure out our challenges. Cities are getting bigger, and we have more people on the planet every day. Violence and predatory behaviour has been a constant issue so far so we can expect it to get worse if we don’t figure this out.

For me, it’s about what tone does the leadership set for its citizens while we figure out solutions. Is leadership really brining back public executions and torture? I hope in the long run it isn’t. And for today I don’t think it sets the right tone for a society that values the individual. I think it fits better for governments that just want to beat their population into submission.
Or, a public execution can show that the leadership is actually taking an active role in justice and is protecting the public from predators. No one is suggesting torture.

Worse than that, we’ve been dealing with Manning as a quarterback in (by) name only.

Sort of...

I bought 2x additional suppressors this week.. Im still having to form 4 them.. the local gun shop that they were transferred into from out of state doesnt want to be a guinea pig.. they are choosing to continue to go down the old path until all the kinks in the new system are worked out..

No real big deal to me.. Form 4's are getting approved in about a week these days (it used to be up to 18 months).. and its not like Im not already on the ATF's list with the other suppresors and the SBR I already own..

Im just happy things are moving in the right direction (albeit very slowly).
So an update on this… my SOT FFL called this morning and told me to come pick up my new cans… they got the ATF official guidance late yesterday afternoon… and the Form 4 is a dead issue… I was the first person they transferred on a 4473 only… I walked in, filled out the 4473, and walked out 15 minutes later with 2 cans..

Very different than then the first suppressor I bought years ago where it took 14 months from start to finish…

Just one left to buy… and I should have all the suppressors I’ll ever need

It was worse in 2001 than it is today. Significantly worse by any realistic measure. Our guys did amazing things with shoestring budgets and inadequate support.

Hegseth is a childish bigot. He forms part of the homophobic far right who promote hate against minorities. He hates and does not serve his gay fellow citizens. You do recognize that gay citizens should be served the U.S. military as much as farmers, football fans, rock stars etc?

The American military participates in agricultural parades, fly overs for football games, drops by Kid's Rock's house for shits and giggles. In 2014 an eight person colour guard represented all US service branches in a pride parade in Washington D.C. I guess that scares the shit of out of Russia and China.
Your BS knows no bounds. Just because many of us don’t want our kids, military and culture indoctrinated with LBGTQ groupthink doesn’t mean we hate gays at all. My wife has a gay aunt that we love to pieces. I took her to Alaska a few years ago for a week of salmon fishing. You’re also dead wrong if you think all gay people support the liberal LBGTQ crap going around.

Today brought back memories of Chris Simms. Not Colt McCoy.

Time to play Whack-a-mole with the Houthi vermin

...
The problem is that both Iran and Houthis have no problems hitting infrastructure etc.. They are using human shields and we hold off. Whereas we'd rather make deals with Putin than reply in kind.

Should take a page in from Israel's rule of engagement. They already hate the USA, so holding off is not going to win hearts and minds, all it does is makes us look weak.

Chicago way is the way to make war with these guys. Trumps talks but does nothing.

The Houthis have reminded me of the Star Wars Tusken Raider Sand People shooting at pod racers ever since Biden kept wasting expensive interceptors shooting down cheap rockets and drones launched from Houthi Nissan/Toyota PUs running around the desert instead of taking out the launchers and those launching them. The Star Wars writers were, IMO, uncannily prophetic and observant.

Speaker Mike Johnson was doing a little campaigning locally this weekend. I read this quote in an article this morning:

During his speech, which dipped into history, Johnson came back to a quote from John Quincy Adams that he once told President Donald Trump he would get tattooed on his shoulder if he were the kind of guy to get a tattoo:

"'Duty is ours. Results are God's.'"

"God does not hold us responsible for the results," Johnson said, "but he does hold us responsible to be faithful in our duty."

why did Trump buy approximately 7.5 days worth of diesel from Russia?

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
