Yes, a TDS warrior who feigns being upset by the cost of a ballroom that will be used for dozens of events every year for several decades but probably isn’t upset at all about crazy expensive electric car charging stations built by Biden that either weren’t built or were built in stupid locations like Craig, CO, of all places! Probably half the vehicles in Craig are F250 diesel trucks. Probably just a few electric vehicles in the whole damn county! Idiots! I’m tired of it.
I was merely pointing out the continued lies and hypocrisy of the Trump administration. I can guarantee you no EV charger ever cost one billion dollars. The stations are also placed so that EV owners can travel. Thats why so many of them are in rural areas. Urban areas already have their own. They're not placed for the locals to charge.

I wonder if the cost to build US 40 through that town ever paid for itself? I doubt it. Sometimes your tax dollars subsidize the urban folk, sometimes the rural folk, thats just how it goes.

How about the $231B Kalifornia rail system? There is a cluster phuck of wasted money, but not a single bleeding liberal complains about that one.
An easily disprovable lie. Current federal funds awarded on that project are $6.8 billion. If the Trump admin terminates the FRA grant, it reduces that amount to $2.6 billion. Thats two orders of magnitude less than your claim. It’s almost like you guys don't have access to google?

I have “The Google” and it says California wasted 13-$15 billion already. And would have spent 126 billion if allowed to go unchecked.

1. Yes, but still not $231 billion as previously claimed by another user here.
2. Those are CA tax dollars, not US fed gov tax dollars.

As Ive said previously, if someone wants to spend their own money on said project, let them. I don't live in CA, so I don't care what they spend their money on. I do care however what the US federal gov spends federal tax dollars on, as those are (at least partially) my money.

My point isn't that $1 billion for a ballroom is a waste of money, although it is. It’s the repeated lies about it not costing us any money…until it does. They knew it was going to cost more than $200 million, and it was clear he was never going to get $1 billion in private donations. Hence public money, So why the continued lying?

You wouldn't say a word if sock puppet Biden built the ballroom.....hypocrite.

I thought the $1B was for the security infrastructure not for the ballroom per se.

It was a communication error calling it a Ballroom. Many the blue haired Globalists and class warfare squads see it as elitist. Instead of being a necessity to conduct state business.

California money? The California LAO (Legislative Analysis Office) which is not exactly a republican bastion of monetary policy restraint, is predicting California will run deficits of 20-30 billion annually through the end of the decade. That is despite Newsom's claimed restraint and new sources of revenue in the current budget. With estimated costs of the rail project now rising to a projected $230 billion, whoever is paying for it, there are not enough California tax dollars.

I have actually attended two State functions in Washington and several internationally. One of the Washington events was in the East Room, and packed beyond belief and the other was in fest tents on the South Lawn. Both were embarrassing compared to venues in foreign capitals. The latter would be a security nightmare in the current environment.

The construction itself is indeed being paid for by private donations. The security enhancements, which are congressionally funded, will cover the whole White House complex not just the ballroom. Considering the number of leftist loons threatening this president, that seems all too reasonable.

Their 2026 draft plan still says $126 billion, not $231 billion. Once again, an intentional misreading of the information. And once more, for those in the Trump Cult, still not my tax dollars...or yours. The $1-2 billion+ per year spending is mostly from their own state's cap and trade program.

something something...pigeon shitting on a chess board...something something. So much for states rights...how dare those liberals spend their money how they want to!!!

That's humorous. I am not in the Trump cult. I am in the anti incompetence cult, and in a sub-sect that believes that California may be the worst governed state in the union. I am hardly alone.

So, the best counter analysis you have is Newsom's "draft plan" which now says 126 billion? Do your own research. No one but but someone who studied math with AOC believes the California administration's numbers. A relatively broad consensus is now estimating 235+. No one believes that is going to shrink - particularly with new completion dates ballooning to 2040 or beyond. The safest bet I could make, should this nonsense still be on the books, is that in two or three years the completion cost will reach half a trillion. To remind, California originally pledged its completion by 2020. Looks like they will miss that one by a generation.

And a 20-30 billion dollar annual deficit is "pigeon shitting on a chessboard" - whatever that is supposed to mean. Surprised you didn't toss in one of your adolescent "hey buds" at that point. With that sort of budgetary mismanagement, I have no clue who in California might be paying for the rail fiasco, but I am certain it is no one over the age of nine or ten.

I do not typically respond to your posts because I do not take you seriously. This post has reminded me why I came to that conclusion.
