The US men have won gold three times - 1960, 1980, and this year for a total of eleven medals. US Women's hocky also has three - 1998, 2018, and also this year for a total of eight.

The Canadian men have nine gold and a total of sixteen, while the women's teams hold five Olympic gold for a total of nine.

I honestly don’t know about the son… they seem to want to play nice with the US right now.. and they know if they don’t that Trump will punish their economy in some way.. so I don’t know if they’ll release him to the US to stand trial here.. or if they’ll keep him for themselves. But, I think it’s a safe bet that they won’t just let him walk..

What I’m waiting to see is… what are the next steps? Cutting off the head of the snake just allows a new head to grow or a bigger snake to take over..

Were it me, I’d give it about 3-4 weeks… let them pick a new leader… let him just barely get in place.. then smoke him… give it 3-4 more weeks … rinse, repeat, etc until they’re left with some 26 year old turd with mild retardation running the show because he’s all that’s left..,

You’ll never get rid of the cartels.. as long as there is a demand, there will be a supply… basic economics and shitty humans will prevail..

But.. you can render them ineffective and take away most of their power and influence… you just have to stay the course and be willing to do what must be done…

On the other hand its own content is by purely anonymous writers who could be anyone from law enforcement, to high performing eighteen year-olds, to cartel members themselves, to legitimate investigative reporters. I understand. I am simply cautious of any opinion written on any subject by writers who do not have accountability. That does not mean it isn't valuable - I read a lot of similar questionable material on line with regard to politics - but I do so critically.

I get it… but… that also opens the door to false reporting, psyops, and a host of other potential negatives… the “reporter” could just as easily be a cartel spin doctor as he could be an eye witness to a cartel crime..

The cartels are exceptional at information gathering and intelligence work.. if they truly want to know who an anonymous reporter is… they can find out pretty easily.. they have the training, resources, networks, and money to get the job done… frankly the larger cartels are equally if not more capable at intelligence operations than any central or South American government…

My firm consistently worked transnational narco terrorism issues on behalf of the state departments bureau of international narcotics and law enforcement for right at 12 years (only recently stopped doing this).. the people and the resources the cartels have access to go way beyond anything the US or MX governments are willing to disclose..

If they want to know who Pilar on AH is, where he lives, the places he frequents, the things he does, and the people he does it with, etc… most of them have the resources to have that information in hand in a matter of hours or minutes….

What’s key is… we are far superior at those same sort of capabilities…

Cartel bosses getting away with faking deaths, disappearing for years, crossing the border with fake passports, and then showing up living in a mansion in SoCal don’t happen unless our intelligence and/or federal law enforcement agencies want that to happen..

There’s almost always a bigger play being made behind the scenes or an ulterior motive for allowing such things to happen…

Agreed, but we definitely had the two best teams on the ice. Canada was the stronger team through regulation, but failed to capitalize on multiple opportunities to seal the win.

It truly isn’t sour grapes, but I think the 3x3 OT is a terrible way to end a game. It is more of a coin toss than a test of skill. I am old school, let them play it out 5x5 until someone wins.

Agreed! A B-52 is an easy target unless we have established air superiority. The B-52 no longer has a tail gunner, not that it was very effective (two shoot downs by tail gunners recorded during Vietnam). One thing that was a game changer for the B-52 was air launched cruise missiles. The "Stand Off" capability allows the B-52 to be several hundred miles from the intended target. Quite different and safer than dropping bombs while flying over the target.

This is an interesting video, showing the Day 1 air campaign of Desert Storm. Hard to believe that was 25 years ago. If we move against Iran in the coming days or weeks, it might look similar. I've been telling people for the last 20 years to stay out of Mexico and the reply I get is......

"You can find trouble anywhere if you go looking for it!"

I have ZERO sympathy for Americans or Mexicans that are caught up in this, Americans should have enough sense to not vacation in a narco state and the Mexican people glorify and build shrines to the cartels.

Narco trafficking is so engrained in Mexican culture they have their own music genre known as Narco Corrido..... These groups have massive concerts all over Mexico & the USA.

Actually, it turns out to be pretty straightforward.

If your now prohibited gun was previously restricted, as mine was, then the form is pre-filled out for you. You add a couple of details, press submit, and it gives you a compensation number. Value didn’t seem out of line to me.

So while I don’t like this in principle, I do try to obey the law, and this is the law, so best to go with it and hope that another government changes the law, however unlikely that may be.
