Regardless of that, after listening to JD Vance on Rogan, I can see why Trump picked him. He is incredibly sharp, well spoken, and super reasonable on the sensitive issues.

I guess we will see what happens tomorrow night.

I’ve only had the time to listen to about half of it, and I agree, JD Vance should have a bright future in front of him, if not now, then definitely in 4 years time.

Yah I guess we could print our way out of debit if you don't mind the inflation that comes with that. Sure hope we don't lose that reserve currency status, perhaps the possibility is reason enough to get the fiscal house in order.

Yes, but the difference would be the Zim dollar wasn't the world's reserve currency. Still it does not seem a wise path to follow.

Gabbard wouldn't really bring anything to the ticket. Also, Vance would have to beat a lot of others that would be in the primaries. He won't have much of an advantage in 2028 if Trump loses.

I voted, but not for her. I did vote for a Donald.

Not that it matters. Harris will get CA by a landslide, I am just hoping my Congressional Rep Young Kim gets re-elected. I know a number of women that have voted for GOP in the past that are voting a straight Democrat ticket due to the SCOTUS abortion ruling.

I tried that argument, that it did not matter in California. "It is the principle" and "for other women and teens". Guess makes sense in a way. If one lived in Texas they'd still not vote for an anti-2A candidate for national office.

It's pretty obvious how divide we are as a country. It interesting, if no one asked if you are a D or a R we would have more common ground than most would want to admit. Kind of like the media bring up white and black, if you ignore color more common ground than not.

We choose to allow the division, until we change it. It will continue to happen. Not sure what will cause a change or if it is even possible at this point.

I'm not the oldest on the forum, I'm not the youngest either. It's sad to witness how far negatively we have come as a country. It's been said here before 9/11 was the last time we came together as a nation in my mind. Even Covid caused more division. Not sure what if anything can turn this around. With today's social media and people's mindset...real conversation will be hard to have.
