OK, after researching for a while I thought I'd ask any of you who display at conventions just what conventions you think are the best to do booth time in. We all know the big ones, SCI, DSC, the African specific ones BUT what other ones seem worthwhile including year round time table? OR, am I asking for "keys to the gold mine " by asking? Thanks guys.

Hi Cliffy

I've never displayed at any conventions but would like to someday when I visit family in Minnesota. I've found most guys to be secretive about it but I suppose there are visitors to the hunting conventions who also have an idea which shows are the best. I like the idea of smaller more personal shows. I'll let you know once I found out more.

I did a show years ago in Harrisonburg Virginia it was its first year and was one of the best I'd ever done.....

But now I must honest for me DSC blows SCI out of the water....:-)

My best always

Jaco- that Harrisburg show I think is the one that went belly up this year due to the promoter banning AR style rifles BUT the NRA has taken it over and I think it will be better than ever next year. I too feel DSC rocks! I might do a seminar there again next time.
Obviously most everyone is tight lipped about good shows :-) which I can understand. I'm researching some non-traditional shows that might be pretty good. Which are they? :-) GEE let me think on that one :-)
I might do a local non-traditional one later this month. Very cheap to do but might have some good demographics.

Cliffy, Harrisonburg Virginia which should not be confused with the PA show that went belly up.. :)

Also the Iowa deer classic use to treat me well, before I moved roots to the bigger shows.. I must admit the Harrisburg Pa. Show was very good to me in the past and I will miss going there this would have been my 14th year at that show... 2013...

I am very open about expos there is enough sun to shine over all our heads .... :)

My best always

If there is enough sunshine then keep your hat on so you don't sunburn :-) See ya at DSC

Ha! very true, as I just cut all my hair and beard so will be prone to sunburn....... O the little graces in life.... :)

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

Thanks

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
