Didn't JD used to say Lem Motlow on guard until the seal is broken?
Some months ago I looked at JD bottles and couldn't find it there.

As I remember through family lore, JD had no children, so his nephew Lem is who he entrusted with the distillery. When Jack Jasper Daniels passed away, Lem’s name went on the bottle. He actually kept things running through prohibition. Lem had four sons whom he entrusted to run the distillery, and who when they sold the distillery to Brown Foreman, stipulated in the contract the distillery remain in Lynchburg, and hire family members.

One of the later “corporate” decisions was later on to remove the founding date of the distillery, the population of Lynchburg, and also Lem’s (Lemo) name.

Lot’s of great stories and family lore surrounding the distillery, Lynchburg, Moore County and sour mash whisky.

JD and bourbon are both whiskeys. A TN whiskey (JD) is charcoal filtered before barrel aging. Belle Meade sherry cask is a particularly fine Tennessee whiskey and will be appreciated by any bourbon/whiskey drinker.

Correct. I should have said sour mash whiskey.

Thank you for the info update.
I forget companies get sold and many are not family owned any more.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
