When I was a teenager, I lived at an Air Force base near Columbus, Ohio. I had a summer job working at the officer’s club. One day, I saw a 2nd Lieutenant and noticed his name. His last name was “Commander.” I immediately thought he would have been better off had he gone into the Navy.
