on a lighter note...

I know this is the humor thread, but they actually did figure out how the pyramids were built in recent years and it got little media attention. A guy took hi-res photos of the great pyramid and used photo enhancement to mark out the dimensions of each course of blocks. With the heightened contrast, obvious locations of small plinth blocks were shown throughout. They used scaffolds and hoists, then filled in the slots where the booms would have previously been. There are a myriad of primitive levers, pulleys, block-and-tackle, and cranes that could have been used in those slots to lift blocks.
AND, archeologists recently found an ancient tributary (now dry) off the Nile that once ran next to the pyramids. They surmise the tributary was used to transport the cut blocks on wooden rafts to near the pyramids.

Hmmm, almost sounds like Herodotus was right...

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
