kurpfalzj, welcome to AH! It sounds like you have had some grand times in Africa! How about sharing one of them with us?

Welcome to AH !

Good Morning from Germany.

I am a Frenchman but i live in Germany. I have been hunting 30 years in Africa and hope we can talk well.

Greetings.

30 years of adventures/hunting in Africa will afford a few stories to be told.

Welcome to AH.

Giday and welcome to the A H forums kurpfalzjäger

Welcome to AH, looking forward to you telling us about your 30yrs hunting Africa.

Welcome aboard. What caliber rifles have you taken to Africa? What species of animals have you taken so far? What countries have you hunted in? What and when do you have planned for your next hunt?

If you have been hunting in Africa for 30 years, you have hunted in many countries, shot many animals and used many different rifles.

Especially i hunt big game, buffalos and elephants. That's why I'm more for the use of big caliber rifles. I have already mentioned a part in my first messages. The rest can be taken , i hope , from the next messages. I can not tell everything right away , i need stories for the next messages.

From your last post I see that you have hunted some Dangerous Game and enjoy shooting larger caliber rifles. What large caliber rifles do you own? Do you reload? What is your favorite rifle and caliber? I have several larger caliber rifles the biggest being a 416 Rigby but my favorite rifle is the 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser.

I have some Big Bores , but my favorite rifle is a bolt action rifle caliber 12,7x70 Schüler built to my specifications.

I have to reload , i have no choice , many cartridges are no more or are too expensive.

I think we still have opportunity to talk about it.

I'm unfamiliar with the metric caliber but it is or at least seams to be very close or identical to the 500 Jeffery. I've never seen one but others have mentioned them in previous AH posts. My largest Jeffery is a 404, which pales by comparison to its' big brother. I reload for all of my rifles. If I had to buy commercial ammunition for them I doubt I'd be able to shoot very often if at all. What powder, charge weight and bullet do you use in your Schuler? (sorry there are no umlauts on my computer.)

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
