Good day: I am from South Africa and grew up farming - still have not kicked the bad habit. I shoot a .416 Rem Mag Winchester Mod 70 ( Portuguese build) topped with a Leica 1 -6.3 illuminated. I really do think the Leica scopes are up there with the best. I have hunted in South Africa , Namibia and Zimbabwe and dangerous game wise have hunted buffalo, hippo and a tuskless. For the buff and hippo I used 400 gr Barnes TSX and the tuskless Swift Breakaways all in front of Varget. Cheers

Welcome aboard Beefeater. You've already taken more dangerous game than most of us. What is on your "docket" for future hunts? What part of South Africa are you from? Where do you normally hunt?

I am pretty hooked onto buffalo. I hunted 2 buffalo in the Eastern Cape with Lalapa Safaris which were great experiences. The hippo (on land) I hunted last year in Gache Gache on lake Kariba with Tinie Kok who operates MJk Safaris and followed it up this year with a buff / tuskless in Makuti with Tinie again. Busy talking to Tinie about 2024. I have three young sons so they are shooting up the plains game budget in South Africa now .
Something I would love to do in SA is bushpig with dogs in Natal or the Eastern Cape. Other hunts that interest me are dwarf forest buffalo , giant forest hog and yellow back duiker.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike
