Hello from Canada - I've never hunted Africa, but have a number of friends who have. I have hunted small game in Ontario growing up, then moved to B.C. to escape from Ontario's heat and humidity. Now I've hunted B.C. since 1979 for deer, moose and elk. I also fish a lot for char and rainbows and spend most summers at Francois Lake, a couple hours from home. Getting on and can't hunt moose or elk any more, but still interested in fat whitetail bucks.
I've been a handloader since 1968 and got my first wildcat in 1974. Now, I've loaded for wildcats from .17 to .510".

Welkom to the forum! Stick around and within a few years you'll be in Africa ;)

Welcome Daryl! Moose and Elk are typically more physically demanding than some African game animals are in some locations, so don't give up hope and enthusiasm!
I hope you get to hunt Africa sometime soon, and while you plan, get good advice from the experienced and inclusive members on this forum. It's the best!
While you're at Francois Lake, look us up. My wife and I spend our summers at the west end, across from Noralee. It's a

simple bush camp, very "off grid" Always like to talk hunting around a campfire with like minded folks!

Thanks for the responses, guys. The invite to the west end, sounds great. A PM would work re: names and directions, times, etc. I spend up to 5 months at Nithi resort, East end. My summer view.
IU have been looking over some of the "adds" and am impressed. Many are cheaper than visiting Australia.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
