A few details and a pic or two would be considered quite acceptable.

Love to see what she looks like , wait til you shoot her Man what a kick.

I have a 375 and loaded some rounds for it today!
there's an excellant article in Shooting times by Craig Boddington on the cartridge! Enjoy!

I got the M70 that Tarawa had in the classifies on here. As soon as it arrives I will post up some pics. ( I don't know if I can move his to here )
Spike ,
I am really wanting a double , but I also want a Freedom Arms revolver chambered in 500 Wyoming Express ...we will see. :)

well as its me you need the double ;) a .450 or .470 would complement the .375 nicely :thumb:

You'll love the .375! Your next dilemma is choice of bullet.

DO NOT!! I REPEAT!! DO NOT get a double. They are extremely addictive and may cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure!

If Tarawa said it's a keeper then it is!

You should'a talked him out of a few of those nasty old DR's that he has laying around wasting away. (Right George?) :D

I happen to know for a fact that he's got a rare 9.3X74R that he's never shot before.. But it shot great for me! :D

Welcome to the .375 owners club. Just bought my first one two mouths ago. What a fun gun to work up loads for. Every time I come home from the range I have a big grin on my face. My wife thinks I have a new girlfriend, but that's a different story. Think it will need a new barrel before it ever gets out of the country on a hunt.

I bought one this summer..and have a thread on here about scope/ring options.

It's a damn nice rifle... What type of glass are you thinking?

Actually went to the range this am...just shooting some light 230gr hand loads, then will probably go 270gr.

Took my 375 I bought this year to the deer woods today opening day for rifle season here in Alabama using 270gr Sierra Game King, rifle really loves them I was ready for the biggest one that walked out! They must have gotten word never seen the first one.

We (myself and my two sons) started with a 375 H&H, now we have a 375 Weatherby, 416 Rem and 500 Jeffery. I think we've topped out as far as our recoil tolerance goes. Love all three rifles.

Loper,
I am thinking low power...that being said , I have looked at the longer range ballistics and may now set up a low power scope load and a higher power scope and load with detachable rings on both. Guess I will let the accuracy gods make my mind up for me.
Bob,
I am originally from GA , and have hunted AL all my life. Hunting there is one of the few things I miss about the southeast. We have some super whitetail hunting out here , but it just ain't the same as hunting them in the hardwoods...
Colorado,
I understand... I can't decide now if my next toy will be a double in 470NE or a Freedom Arms 500 Wyoming Express. I could go for both , but the child support and alimony would be more than I could bear. Decisions ...

You could buy a half dozen FA guns for what a good double would cost you!

Something in the 2-8X range could fit both purposes. I have an affection for high power scopes using them for the diminutive Coues deer for long range shots. But a .375 is generally for larger game and 8x will take you to 300 yards no problem.

PM me your email address and I'll get some load recipes to you.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
