My Favorite Actor & His Rifle

@MS 9x56
So you named your son Marion and the grandson is called Marion as well.
After all that was the Dukes real name.
Bob
Only "Marion" I ever knew was Marion Dingler, the town banker. Nobody ever made fun of it....maybe they all owed him money.

Stewart Grainger, in King Solomon's Mine with that iron sighted bolt actioned British rifle.

I've got an Anniversary Edition 257Wby somewhere in my closet, way to pretty to shoot
@Rob404
You might as well use it.
Sure it may go up in value but the money is no good to you when your dead.
The 257 is designed to hunt.
Going hunting with it is akin to going in a date with a beautiful woman. Both good experiences that you never forget.
I have a beautiful wife but some what people call ugly rifles. Both give me great memories tho

The cruellest thing I ever came across was a bloke I worked with a name.
When he got pulled over by police they always threatened to lock him up for being a smart arse.
You never said anything about his name because that boy could fight.
Johny cash song a boy named Sue had nothing on him.
His last name was Duck and yes you guessed it his parents called him Donald.
What a bastard act calling your son Donald Duck
True story.

In almost every caliber, Weatherby makes the most powerful cartridge.

The .460 Weatherby Magnum (with about 7,600 ft/lbs. of muzzle energy), if chambered in a crf bolt-action with open sights, would blow every other .45 caliber DG rifle out of the water, as a stopping rifle.

Niche market for a stopping rifle where it's a coin toss on whether you'd rather risk it with the horns and the boss, or take the risk on the recoil! ;)

I'm a younger vintage than most here...

... but my introduction to Africa was Val Kilmer in The Ghost and the Darkness.
10 year old me was all about this, and I couldn't wait for it to get released on VHS.

For reasons passing understanding, I still haven't picked up a Lee Speed.

We had a Texas governor named Hogg, who claimed he never thought about the implications of naming his two daughters Ima, and Eura. Another gentleman at North Texas State Univ. named Ben Dover.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
