I have a lechwe to mount. I think im going to do a wall pedestal shoulder mount. So it has a unique black patch of fur on its face on the one side. Would you turn that out showing it off or turn it towards the wall to hide. Curious to see if what I'm leaning on is what most others would do?

Red Lechwe does not matter, Kafue wall mount to show off the black so everyone can see it’s a Kafue and not a Red.

100% Agree accentuate the uniqueness of your harvest, maybe turn the head to the opposite side ever so slightly?

Congratulations

Good Times

I would certainly turn to show off the uniqueness as well. Beautiful lechwe.

I’d show it. It’s character.

But, if you’re like me, 99% of the people seeing it won’t know what they’re supposed to look like……

However you choose, that’s a dang nice Lechwe.

Just got mine back from the taxidermist a couple of weeks ago. I think the turn really shows of the shape of the horns.

What sand rat said. I love to highlight unique features if I am mounting an animal.

That’s a really nice Lechwe mount. Will definitely be part of a Zambia Safari.

Show it.

I’m putting all three of my lechwe species on one big floor pedestal. Trying to decide which one to put in the middle.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
