Hope it's going well for everybody. I don't know if I'll ever go to Africa, but I love thinking about it and I'm definitely in love with the guns. I bought a CZ in 9.3x62 today and hope to get an over/under double rifle after I get a few more bird guns. Yes, I'm one of those guys who listened to Hemmingway and became obsessed.

I wouldn’t bet against you going to Africa before long. Spend enough time here on AH and the urge will be too strong....
A few more bird guns and a decent O/U would be more than a week plains game package deal... Just saying... ;-)

Welcome aboard 70worm. The 9.3 x 62 has served African hunters for a century and then some. When will you be taking your new CZ out to the range? When you go, be sure to try feeding multiple rounds out of the magazine and not just load it individually. Remember that it has a Mauser Action and that each round must be "picked up" by the bolt. As you may or may not know some CZs have had feeding issues, mine included. Please consider this bit of info as a friendly "heads up." Make sure yours feeds and works properly before taking it afield..
