Once upon a time in the west, I heard a rumor that Nevada is home to more full time, working real live cowboys, than any other USA state.
If that’s true, I’ll drink to that.
Shoot, even if it’s not true, I’ll drink to Nevada’s free range cattle industry anyway, especially to the hard working people it employs.

When I was in high school (Sacramento, in Soviet Socialist California), I learned to shoot fairly well with handguns and rifles, on running Jack rabbits, out in your wonderful desert, way far N/E from Reno NV.
More than one or two coyote skins ended up in my bedroom wall from out there as well.

My mother and father were not hunters.
However, I once heard my mom tell some goof ball neighbor off who, evidently had moaned about the information said neighbor had received, suggesting that I was “collecting dead animals”.
My good ol’ mom retorted something like: “We’d rather have him out wandering in the wilderness, with guns and fishing rods, than loitering about on some street corner around here, looking for trouble” (or words to that effect).

Blah, blah, blah, whatever.
