Hi There

Finally, now having some time on my hands, I have joined Africa Hunting and would like to thank you for letting me join in to your community.
Originally born in South Africa and having lived there until the age 17, I now reside in Tauranga New Zealand. When I am not working, I spend most of the 'free' time wandering the mountains and bush with my bow or chasing trout in the lakes and streams.
Currently I am a member of the NZ Bowhunter Society, contributor for Arrowhead Magazine and have recently become the Australasian booking agent for Pitlhwa Safaris located in the Swartruggens area of South Africa.
I look forward to getting to know a few of you and hearing about your exploits in the Dark Continent and beyond
Hot barrels, straight arrows and tight lines everyone

Regards
Jack

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to AH Jack! Looking forward to reading your posts...

Welcome!

Glad to have you on board. My wife and I were in New Zealand last year. Hunted on the south and visited friends in Cambridge - not too far from you.

Hi Jack, welcome to AH !

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Look forward to sharing and hearing from people with the same interests and passion... Despite how beautiful and rugged New Zealand is, its a long way from sitting round a fire under the African sky, listening to jackal and other critters in the night!!

hi welcome aboard :D Beers:......and is that really your name? :E Big Grin:
Long story, so yeah, lets run with Jack...:E Roll Eyes:

Glad to have you on board. My wife and I were in New Zealand last year. Hunted on the south and visited friends in Cambridge - not too far from you.
No, not too far at all. Where and what did you hunt down south?

Hunted w/ Wilderness Quest for Stag and Tahr. Had a great time. But, got stuck up the mountains just south of Fox Glacier during a storm for 4 1/2 days. Ann dubbed our tent the yellow submarine!

Welcome! Looking forward to some stories from NZ! I'm headed there next year for red stag and fallow

Welcome to AH, hope you still shout for the Boks!!

@TMS you have to admit that there's nothing quite like a haka to get that competitive blood flowing, ready for battle.

@rinehart0050 , we could cause a major change in this thread.......but will agree the haka is something to see..

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
