I am wondering, what would be the best spiral horned antelope to hunt on a first time safari to South Africa, I'm thinking about a Cape Bushbuck but what other ones would be suitable.

Suitable? Best?

Surprised you did not say Kudu.

Bushbuck
Kudu
Nyala
Eland.

They are all unique.

My first was an Eland, but I like them all.

Kudu is alway # 1 with me but any of them are very special.

Which ever one "speaks to you" the most. Kudu and Nyala would be my favorites, but the huge Eland and wary bushbuck have their fans as well.

No love for the lowly sitatunga.

Hey, he said South Africa.

Sitatunga, Bongo, LD Eland, Mtn Nyala, I'm ready and willing.
If you want to swap one of those out for the Vertebrae contest winning prize I'm good. :)

My first was a nyala. I've added a couple Cape kudu since then. I hope to add the Cape bushbuck in June, maybe eland if the opportunity presents itself.

I would guess kudu is likely the first most hunters take.

ROFLMAO!

Indigenous (ecology), presence in a region as the result of only natural processes, with no human intervention.

Grey goose wins! :)

Kudu was my first choice.

If I make it back I want a Eland.

I'm going to get a Kudu and hopefully a Nyala this year when we go (if it all works out). Next year I'll add an eland in Namibia.
Can't wait.

I love the Spiral horns. I've taken 2 Bushbuck (Cape), 2 Nyala and 2 Kudu. I'll hunt all 3 again when I go back.
