Lebanese hunting legend ‘Raouf Halewe’ shot this magnificent trophy warthog long time ago in Nigeria. Raouf who spent most of his life in the African jungles didn’t know what a shooting stick is; yet you can clearly spot the perfect shot he made with his 6mm rifle. This exceptional trophy is just one out of many unique trophies that are hanged on his daughter's wall… Unfortunately, the certificate that he received for this trophy is lost. I’m not sure if it’s Rowland Ward or SCI, and the online information doesn’t go back much in time. I would really appreciate it if anyone has any source that might help, and i was wondering can a trophy be measured and scored after such a long time?

Yes a older trophy can be scored.

Great warthog real trophy.

Amazing trophy !

Wow, what a warthog!

Thank you for the lovely comments, and Jerome for the helpful link. I will definitely measure this trophy soon and i'm confident that it will emerge with an entry that will make 'Raouf' remembered. You should see this trophy live, the tusks actually overlap a little bit at the top but the angle of the picture doesn't show it. As you may have noticed, the trophy's colour has changed a lot over the period and it's because Mr Haleweh used to smoke pipe.

Beauty / beyond exceptional !
Thank You for sharing.

Great looking trophy. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Wow... thanks!

You mention that there are other trophies at his daughter's house. ANY more pictures that could be shared? These old trophies are the best. I just love thinking of the history behind them and the time they were hunted.

Also, do you have a rough idea of what year this was taken?

I totally agree with you 'Royal27'. I could never get tired from listening to his hunting stories... He's such a great inspiration. There are actually hundreds of old pictures that i will be scanning and sharing with all of you soon when i get back to my homeland in December. For now, here are a couple of pictures that i snapped when visiting his daughter this year, who is luckily my relative. As for the dates when he hunted this warthog, i will try and find a rough estimate for you very soon.

Wonderful wartie! Is Mr. Halewe still living? How about his rifles? What makes, models and caliber did he prefer? You have our attention buddy! Thanks for posting this.
Cheers,
Cody

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
