Ethnic cuisine

I’m not a big foodie but I still like good food.

At home Tacos or Nachos are good , cheap and easy. I have eaten in a Mexican restaurant that had more variety than the simple stuff.

South Africa. They done an amazing job Roasting Lamb first night and Brai meals most evenings. Aussies like a Barbecue (BBQ)

I’ve eaten home cooked Italian and Greek foods from migrants who are of the older generation that migrated and worked hard.
I can make a spaghetti Bolognaise (cheap and easy)
Italians contributed so much. Spaghetti, Pizza and Salami
Greeks, Lamb, Yiros, Crescent Biscuits.

Indian, Buttered Chicken and mild curries

Chinese, Fried Rice

And Filipinos do a great fried rice, spring rolls, Adobo and others.

Mostly simple tastes but I enjoy a hearty meal.

Adding to this I don’t remember all I ate in New Zealand but the toasted sandwiches, Salami and hospitality at Von Gruffs home were well received and not forgotten.

Who did you hunt with, Sir?

I like the food from the Patagonian region of SA. I’m more apt to lean towards the Chilean cuisine than the Argentine.
Second to that the Mexican food and regional Austrian food is good in my opinion.

Are we just talking about true ethnic cuisine from the lands we have visited, or ethnic cuisine that we have eaten at home?

Lots of nations have good food. Hungary is the one that surprised me the most. Best food I have eve had on a hunt.

A lot of it goes to the cook and not the nationality of the dish. Good basic food prepared correctly will beat some fancy thing that was wrong any day.

Breakfast treat on the go- fresh bibingka cakes wrapped in banana leaf

Chickenjoy at Jollibee

Pork adobo

Ethiopian food is excellent, I highly recommend trying it.

G’day mate,
I hunted with @GAME 4 AFRICA SAFARIS

I didn’t mention the Rusks. Great stuff. When Lionel suggested I dip them in Coffee I was surprised. I’m terrible with biscuits and was already doing it.

If everyone thinks our Chocolate coated Tim Tams are good they are. But our Arnotts Yo-Yo biscuits are great too.

Cooks were surprised but obliging when I asked for tin spaghetti alongside Bacon and Eggs, I also grabbed Worcestershire sauce for the Bacon.

Aussie tastes may be different but South Africans can sure do a great Lamb roast, ohh and the Milk Torte after the roast. Yum.

It’s a toss up between sushi and Indian food for me. Vietnamese is a close third

As far as “ethnic” as in American restaurants, sushi/hibachi 100%. As far as actual authentic goes, Filipino lumpia

This one is easy for me authentic Japanese sushi and sashimi. In addition to being a hunter I am an inveterate fisherman. I spent several months in Japan and by far my favorite resterants were the sushi places. Whenever I travel I always choose the local dishes and am rarely disappointed.
