Elephantman checking in

welcome to the site,a very smart move.

Welcome to AH !

Speaking of a Christmas hunt, you might find out about lots of new toys on this site you may want to acquire (invest in) before or immediately after your hunt.....Good Luck!!!

That sounds interesting. Gonna need something suitable for a wildebeest and/or blesbok hunt as that is what we are most likely going to encounter. Would also love to see some African elephants while we are there, only ever seen them in captivity. It may sound hypocritical but I would never hunt an elephant. Wildebeest, springboks and blesboks on the other hand, I will gladly hunt

Definitely gonna have a look for some investments then, cheers buddy!;)

Welcome to the forum @elephantman.

The Eastern Cape is a fantastic place, but have to agree with the members here. A hunt in this part of the world around Christmas won't be much fun. You will be looking at temperatures between 100-113degF every day. Not that it cannot be done, but I have done these hunts, and the negatives far outweighs the positives. I feel it takes away a lot of the enjoyment when your binoculars melts to your chest.
If you are a bit flexible, the better weather starts anywhere from April - end July.

Someone mentioned cull hunts, and December will certainly not be the best time for this either. Most females will have very young lambs and calves hidden and lying around all over.

All the best with your planning. You have found a great source here on AH with everything you need tight at your fingertips.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
