That one worked.

CCC Cool, Calm, Collected, see him re adjust point of aim and impact on the second shot this should give all a clear indication of the proximity, only with extreme experience comes the knowledge or rather muscle memory to adjust automatically like that.

Keep in mind that on the last shot and extreme angle it quite tricky to... if "inexperienced" to line up with the Zygomatic arch to try and figure shot placement, it is simply just something that comes with allot of expereince........I'm so Jealous!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks for posting.
My best always,

Good video and Mr Carter would not have been so lucky to get away with it without a double. Huge bull you can see he is old with those ears hanging a big boy for sure.

Great video,
certainly would not like to have cycle a bolt just then!!

Very true sometimes one can be better over the other in certain situations like this (especially this one) can you imagine 3 or more cows charging!!! Wow! Double worked well here for sure... there would most definetly not have been time to cycle the bolt.

Thats why I say have both, you just have to pick the right one on the day.... thats easier said than done though.

My best

I just peed a little in my pants after watching this video. Incredible.

I would say Mr. Carter definitely sets a benchmark for the term "professional hunter". He put his client up close to the animal for the shot, explains why the shot wasn't made successfully, without blaming, chases the wounded elephant without hesitation into thick brush. He is using the best equipment (double rifle) just for these situations and doesn't take a step back on either of his last two shots. I don't think it is luck as much as skill. Did you notice he turned to see if the cameraman was there and had gotten the shot on tape? That is cool.

I wish I could afford the daily rate to hunt with this gentleman just for the experience of getting to know him and hunt with him. To me, the measure of his skill is the immediate response of the cameraman running in Mr. Carter's footsteps. THAT is trusting your life in another man's skill.

Incredibly well done Mr. Carter and to your camera crew, too.

And, as I'm sure Mr. Carter would point out, there are others who can also measure up.

Wow, what a video.

How many shots did you guys count in the first go round?

Exciting stuff. Composure. That is really something to see.

I think 8? The sound cuts out at the end....you can see dirt puffs on the hips as he runs away. But the sound is gone. So 6-8?

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
