Drillbit's Trophy Room Build

You sure are doing it right.

I thought I had a great setup. This is fantastic! Did you build a walk in gun safe? I put one in mine, basically a concrete vault with a Fort Knox safe door. I really like it. No more digging in safes for a gun. They’re all racked with easy access once the door is open.

WAB, I wanted to do that but ended up not doing it. I had to limit my budget somewhere! I'll have my safe in the closet and will also have a digital locking door to the closet. Not fool proof but might slow someone down.

Bolt it to the floor as well and it will take a thief way too long to access your guns! Thank you for sharing this wonderful journey!

:D Pop Popcorn:Grand looking man cave! Can’t wait to see it full of great trophies!

Pretty freaking cool. Would love to have something like this in the future. 1ac now, but sloped lot, no space. Have trophies where I am want in house, but always need more room [emoji2]

I have mixed feelings about those videos. The bad guys are also looking and learning from them.

For sure. I would never have considered that this was possible. I look at the massive pins and heavy duty lock on my safes and it never enters my mind that the fastest way in is with a grinder and completely ignoring the door. I think like an honest man I guess.

I understand what you saying, and didn't mean to take a jab at your post. The way I see it, and I hope that the bad guy(s) who break into my house don't have the time to break into my safes and take the TV and other electronics instead. Hopefully my 90 lbs German Shephard will slow them down a bit.:LOL:

No offence as taken.

Entering the final stages. We are trying out some faux paint styles in this pic. Track lighting isn't in yet. We have 16 sets with 3 lights each, plus the 20 can lights!

And bathroom/shower is done.

Fantastic! Are you going to put a hide-a-bed in there for those instances when your wife finds out what that new rifle really cost?

This is looking great. You're giving me lots of ideas for a future trophy room/building.

You're sure doing it up in style. Absolutely impressed.

That is fantastic. As a retired builder, I really appreciate the thought you put into it. I did a too small addition on my house last summer and really wish I had gone bigger. Budget, y'know. I've not used 45 degree corners before but that is a great idea. I like the recessed entry, gives a real touch of class. Now you just have to fill it up with heads and guns.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
