This looks like a fantastic adventure and can't wait to join you in 2025. I'll be looking for the hunt reports of any of the guys and gals on this forum that are lucky enough to hunt in such a beautiful area.

I hunt with .257 Weatherby Mag. Thats enough to kill a chamois, right? How do i get rifle into country?

Yes, this caliber is enough for chamois hunting. The procedure to bring your own gun for hunting is not a complicated procedure. The person who is organising your hunting trip will provide you all the details. Prior to the hunting dates, Romanian authorities will release your entry approval with gun.

Me too! Unfortunately out shape and out of work at the moment, but I intend to hunt Romania not too far down the road!!
Some areas are quite accessible! Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any informations. We do our best for a successful hunt!

Have you spotted the chamois??
They are very curious animals. Sometime they are looking at us for minutes. The best time to hunt them in the forest areas is November after the leaves are gone.

I Hunted with Marius in 2022 and he is a true professional. I hunted roe deers and not chamois but I can assure you that you´ll be in good hands with Marius. If you want to read my hunt report you can find it here: Link

I´ll give my warmest recommendation to hunting with Marius.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
