Very Nice!Just got this one delivered by Parkwest Arms
They did a Great Job
I've been curious if these were well built, respectable rifles amongst users, the community, etc.Blaser R8 Selous with 416RM and 458LOTT barrels. Grade 9 wood as a minimum. Z8i 1-8x24 scope and AimPoint T2 in mounts from INNOMOUNT. I'll also likely need an extension for the LOP. Sling from Murray Custom Leather. Also might need the kickstop installed.

In truth, there's not much difference between a Blaser Professional Hunter and the Selous. It's mostly the embellishment with things like the beautiful wood, color case hardened receiver and gold accents. I owned a PH model for a while. It came with the Blaser branded Pelican 1700 with the buffalo foam insert. I sold it to another member several years ago.I've been curious if these were well built, respectable rifles amongst users, the community, etc.
What a great dream!I would love to specify some really cool & unique configuration from my own imagination but to be honest, I stumbled across my dream custom rifle while surfing around the Westley Richards website sighing wistfully a few years back:

Left handed. 375 H&H. Iron sights. Swarovski scope. Red butt pad that's not too thick. Minimal engraving. Green canvas case with tan leather trim. Check, check, check, check, check...this one is hitting all the high marks for me. I just need someone to buy my spare kidney.

Damn! ..Those which I personally have had created are very few - I won't count a few tweaks to my Rigby Highland Stalker when ordered.
Probably my favorite is either this No. 1. The stock is English walnut. The metal work is by Doug Turnbull. It has a target trigger and is chambered in .300 H&H.

Or this No. 1 which began life in the late seventies as a very plain 1B .270 with no sights and the large forend. The engraving was gifted from friends when I left Germany at the end of 79. Recently I had R.J Renner add sights and reshape the stock to give it the silhouette and feel of a German stalking rifle to match the engraving. It has taken a huge tally of game.

And finally, let's add Baily Bradshaw's magnificent 7x65R. Long and lean, it epitomizes the elegance of a single shot stalking rifle. Each of his masterpieces is unique.

I know two PH's who use them daily for backing up clients on DG. Below is a link to a thread I started 6 years ago on this subject. FYI - I've cycled my rifle upside-down and the cartridges load perfectly, even when I do it slowly.@BeeMaa, etc.
w/o opening up endless CRF conv, etc. I was simply curious if anyone really respects them. They are unique in their own right, just in pics. GB's listings.
