Headed to Tanzania in September. Need to line up a competent, relaible taxidermist and import/customs broker. I live in Arizona and I'd like a recommendation for an oufit in the Southwest.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Check out Weller's Wildlife Studio in Tucson.

I will be using Safari Specialty Importers for my upcoming hunt. They cost a bit more than some others but I think that they are worth it.

Consider @gizmo He has a pretty good understanding of the customs processes, getting stuff back & great communication.

@gizmo will be handling my taxidermy this year. Do a search here, and you'll see his work. I wouldn't mount anything in Africa.

Have you ever heard for Mike Boyce ? Of course I think I heard he may be retiring but I think the shop will continue. He should be in your neighborhood.

I believe Mike died in January
Shop still running well.

We would be glad to help you with all of your taxidermy needs. My studio is USDA certified and the bulk of our business is in safari work. I also work with several import brokers and can assist in that selection as well.

Yes now that you say that- that is what I heard- not retiring. Thanks. Mike Simpson passed away also. Couple old school legends there!

Wellers does good work, @gizmo will be doing the work for our Namibia trip last fall. As far as a import broker here in the southwest cant help you on that one as I haven't found one. Using @TROPHY SHIPPERS for my Eastern Cape last year with @KMG Hunting Safaris when the taxidermy is finished and using Safari Specialty importers for Namibia trip.

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
