Well, I’m past due for an intro here. I’ve already been subject to the AH spell of being convinced I need more guns, having since I joined purchased two 9.3s, three 375s, a 416, a 505, and an action for a 404J build. You can’t take it with you but you can certainly blow it on hobbies.

Quick intro – my name is Matt and I live in SE WI. Grew up infatuated with hunting, from Jack O’Connor to Peter Capstick and J.A. Hunter. Got away from it during my college/early career and then in 2017 started hunting out West (antelope, mule deer, elk, etc), and am going on my first Africa trip this year. Will be chasing Leopard and Hartmann’s zebra in Namibia with Estreux Safaris; hoping to have a nice time and see some different country. Plan to bring a 375H&H in either Ruger #1 or pre-64 Model 70.

South Africa PG slotted in for next year (Infinito Safaris) and then hoping to get an elephant hunt booked, most likely for Zimbabwe.

Have enjoyed the forum immensely…and if anybody’s ever looking for a hunting buddy for out West, New Zealand, or Africa, feel free to shoot me a note!

Welcome to AH!
As per the tradition, if you mention a gun, you need to post pictures! :)

All you need to do now is tell us you follow the Green Bay Packers, best team to ever lace in boots. Better than the Dull Arse Cowboys.
That pre 64 is just screaming take me to Africa.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
