Thanks for the great story. Nice Eland.

Awesome story and memories forever, congratulations!

Wonderful story and a bull you will likely never better. Congrats.

Well done Jeff! We may have been in Maun at the same time! I was on my first eland hunt. I found that the tracking hunt to be every bit as challenging as buff or ele but without the ‘I’m gonna kill you’ factor!

Great read, thanks for sharing

Fantastic account!! I'm going for eland next year and this gave me a better understanding of what to expect

Mauser M12 extreme, 9.3 x 62, with 286 grain Nosler partitions. I used a Leupold VXR 1.25 x 4 scope, and had it on about 2.5 power all the time.
The eland was the only animal to retain a bullet, and the tip disintegrated. My PH dug the base out from under the skin on the opposite side.

I love that gun.

Thanks,

Jeff

Great story. I was there in April and will be returning this April for another go at Kudu.

Nice job and beautiful eland what next on your list

Makes me want to go hunt eland! Nicely done!

Sounds like that Partition did exactly what it was supposed to do!
